Swimming, fishing, and paddling on Timms Lake draw campers to Morgan Park from the moment the season opens in May. The lake has a beach for swimming and reviewers consistently note it as a highlight, alongside hiking trails and the surrounding Marinette County Forest, which sits within a region Corey D. once called "the waterfall capital of Wisconsin." Sites are wooded and semi-private, tucked into enough tree cover that the campground feels spread out even when it fills up.

Crowding does come up in reviews, so arriving with a reservation makes sense, particularly for summer weekends. The bathhouse earns consistent praise. Free showers, clean facilities, and well-maintained grounds are mentioned by multiple visitors, and the camp staff draws positive comments as well. Electric and water hookups are available, and the dump station accommodates larger rigs. Site 41 near the back of the campground has been noted as a pull-through that fits big setups, though it can feel a bit tight in spots.

The location puts campers within reach of the Iron Mountain area across the state line in Michigan, where the Iron Mountain Iron Mine and a mining museum draw day-trippers. Nearby along the river corridor, Menominee River State Recreation Area provides additional public land for exploring. A stop for ice cream in Pembine is a local tradition worth factoring into the drive. Morgan Park runs through November 30, giving anglers and hikers a long window to make use of it.

Peaceful, Spacious sites

This is one fantastic campground, huge pull through site, I stayed in site number 41. It’s a little tight at points, the site I stayed at was near the very back of the campground.

Fantastic facilities, bathrooms and free showers were very clean and in great condition. Appreciate the modern amenities at this campground!

One of our favorites!

Lots of trees and foliage so sites are at least semi-private - nearby lake for fishing and swimming and hiking trails too! Clean and modern shower facility which is greatly appreciated… a campground we keep coming back to.

Great family park!

I LOVE this campground. Located in Marinette county, this park has a lot to offer. Hike the bluffs, swim, fish, blueberry picking, and much more! Morgan park has a new shower/laundry facility I wish they had when I was growing up there. Marinette Co is the waterfall capital of Wisconsin, so there is plenty to explore nearby. Oh, and don't forget to stop for ice cream in Pembine! Safe travels!
