Reservations are available at Twelve Foot Falls County Park, a drive-in campground in Marinette County Forest that runs from mid-April through October and caps RVs at 25 feet. The layout divides into an upper and lower section, with the lower sites positioned near the river and the upper area hosting a vault toilet and a hand pump for drinking water near site 1. Sites are large and separated by foliage, which adds privacy without requiring much distance between neighbors.
Cell service drops off on the road in. Campers have flagged that Google Maps tends to route vehicles down ATV trails, so following posted signs is the more reliable approach. Firewood has not been available for sale in recent years, so arriving with a dry supply matters, especially after rain when fallen timber on the surrounding land stays wet.
The main draw is the waterfall. A short trail runs from the campground along the Pike River to the falls, and the day-use parking area nearby draws local visitors for picnics and swimming. Don N. notes it's a "good base area for fishing the Pike river," and the surrounding network of ATV and horse trails extends the options for those staying multiple nights. Marinette County Goodman Park is another option in the county for campers building a longer itinerary in the region.
With a small number of sites and moderate amenities, Twelve Foot Falls works best for campers who want direct access to moving water and don't mind limited connectivity.
