RangerAfter an unfortunate start to a holiday weekend at a KOA site we blindly booked, were left with our camper, 3 anxious dogs & nowhere to go . The KOA was kid central, noisy, overly crowded, & the campers & RVs packed on top of each other like sardines. My worst RV Park nightmare! I panicked & randomly called Treeland RV Resort , blindly once again. The phone # listed rings the maim resort . The RV Park is located right across the street. They kindly transferred me & I was greeted with the very lovely Susan. She was phenomenal from the beginning. I asked if they happened to have any openings for a pull thru or back in site. It was a Saturday on Memorial Day weekend..& she didn’t laugh at me! She was happy to announce that they did indeed happen to have a cancellation & she’d gladly hold the spot for us !! Hallelujah! About 45 minutes later we pulled in to the park.. we knew instantly this was going to be amazing. We just knew.. ya know? It had a cute red barn office & we immediately noticed how immaculate & thoughtful the landscape & aesthetic is. Susan was just as lovely in person. She gave us our site info , calmed our nerves & told us to get situated at our site & then we could come back to the office at our leisure & finish the paperwork. Wowza! We found our site & we were not disappointed at all. In fact just blown away! Tucked away from our neighbor just enough to have plenty of space for us & the pups but without being completely segregated. There is a playground & heated pool , but it’s just far enough away to not be heard at all but a quick walk to get to if you so desire. Nooks of trees for privacy & a hammock, lots of green grass & a cement area & a well cared for picnic table & bonfire pit & grill. The pull thru gravel driveway at our site was ample & level. All the hook ups were neatly & conveniently ready for lift off. No fuss no muss.
This place goes on & on with quaint little touches. It was welcoming from the very beginning phone call & the people who run this place are incredible, helpful, thoughtful & just plain kind. Susan & her hubby Mike are fantastic.. we can’t say enough about them. Everyone & everything was quite literally perfect. I don’t get to say that often . The dogs were welcomed with open arms too! There were plenty of trails & things for them to see & do.
We were there 3 full days & just barely began to scratch the surface!
So looking forward to going back!!
TravelerStep out of your RV in the a.m. and smell the pines! Large pull through sites.Wooded, concrete patio, picnic table, fire pit. Very quiet. Large outdoor pool and all sorts of things to do! Across the road is the Resort with a great restaurant and bar. You can also use peddle boats, kayaks, canoes, etc for FREE!!. Or rent a boat or pontoon, which we did. It was a wonderful 4 days and we reserved again for next year.

This campground is only a year old and offers 31 RV sites with full hookups 30- or 50-Amp Service (greywater dump at each site) and 19 wooded (some semi-private) tent sites. They have a beautiful bath and shower house (the shower takes quarters $1.25 for 10 minutes) and sell wood on site for $5 a bundle. It is just over the MN border and about a mile from the St Croix River. ATV trails are accessible from the campground.
Pardun’s also offers canoe and tube rentals in town and also at St. Croix State Park - which sounds wonderful on hot summer days. It’s not far from town which includes a grocery store and St Croix Casino. St Croix State Park is also about 20 minutes away in MN and a great place to explore with miles of hiking. I found the pricing very reasonable at $30 a night for RVs and $17 for tent sites. $1200 for seasonal. The owner came over to meet us and was very friendly.
We chose site tent site 17. Each site has a large fire ring and picnic table. This site had a few trees and was fairly open but it didn’t matter because there was only 1 other group camping in the tent area. It was very quiet and peaceful, very easy to social distance during the pandemic. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway to enjoy a fire and night under the stars, this is perfect little campground.
GuideSites are a little small and not very private. Seemed like a well visited campground with lots of parties if you are into that. There is a restaurant and bar on the site although I didnt use it. They also have a kayak, canoe, and tube rental service on site which was great for easy access to the river.

The sites in the Old Logging Campground were close together but many had vegetation between them offering some privacy. Site 207 was especially tucked in but it's a tight spot, so probably best for a van or tent.
The park itself has a lot to offer being right on the St. Croix River, plus there are hiking trails, a paved bike path, a fire tower you can climb, an old CCC camp area you can tour, and more. Also, canoe and kayak rentals are available. And this is all within the state park boundary since, at 34,000 acres, the park is the largest in the Minnesota state park system.
Some of the loops have old bathhouses that desperately need to be replaced, but they are in the process of doing so, which means some loops have great new bathrooms and showers. (If you stay in the upper 200s, sites, you'll have one of these new bathrooms right away, but more are being built.) Cell service was incredibly spotty on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Depending on where you're at, you'll get a low signal, but often it was only enough for texting-- don't think about using the web or social media or getting any work done while you're here.
Overall, we enjoyed our weekend at this park and would come back for another getaway if we had the chance and it wasn't a workday.
LegendI 100% agree with Legend Laura about the price of this campground. If it was simply about the location, this would get five plus stars because it's so beautiful! But if you're from out of state, the prices are even more expensive than she indicated previously, so they must have updated them.
The campsite itself is only $16 which is a bargain! But, if you are out of state like we are, there's also a $15 charge for that. And then, that doesn't include admission to the area, so you pay $11 and change for that. It ended up being about $50 total. That said, we paid it and fully enjoyed it but not sure we would do it again unless we had a Wisconsin sticker. At least to alleviate the $11 charge to get in.
All of that out of the way, the site itself is absolutely gorgeous. This park has lots of very mature trees and lots of very mature pine trees, making it very quiet. The spaces are quite distant from one another and we didn't hear our neighbors at all. We were at one of the walk-in campsites which I chose on purpose because it was literally on top of the river, we could sit by the river and wade our toes if we wanted to. It had a fire ring, a very short walk to the bathroom, and only a short distance to the car from the site. Maybe 100 ft plus about 30 stairs to get up to the parking level.
The walk-in sites also double as canoe campsites, so the river is something you can paddle if the water is sufficient to do so. There is a beautiful little picnic area near the bathrooms that sits on the river as well. Vault toilets seemed as clean as they could be, and they are a little fancier than your single vaults. They have stalls and toilet paper!
I highly recommend if you live in Wisconsin visiting this site as it wouldn't cost much at all. Out of towners, it's a bit more pricey.
