Mostly Nice, but Weird Fee Structure

Roads leading to camp sites are narrow and can be muddy in the rain. The site we had was extremely unlevel and had a low spot that filled up with water/mud in the rain. You only can use the dump station once at check out or you can pay a fee, but none of the sites have sewer. Also, there is a per minute fee for their two showers, but no worries it is Luke warm water at best. The pond was nice, but on the small side.

Hi James,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us for your two-night visit and for taking the time to share your feedback. After reading some of your other reviews, it does seem you have high expectations, and we’re sorry to hear your experience with us didn’t quite meet them.

As with any outdoor setting, rainy weather can create less-than-ideal conditions—especially on natural terrain. While the roads and sites may become muddy after several days of rain and traffic, we work hard to maintain them. In fact, the site you stayed on was recently regraded and is considered one of our most level.

We are upfront about the fact that our sites do not have sewer hookups. Like many campgrounds, we offer a dump station that is free to use at checkout, with a small fee for additional uses to help cover maintenance. This setup is typically more than sufficient for shorter stays like yours.

Our coin-operated showers are regularly cleaned and maintained, and we consistently receive good feedback about water temperature. I personally just checked them, and the water is hot. We’re sorry if your experience was different and would have appreciated the chance to address it during your stay.

As for the pond, while it is on the smaller side, it continues to be a peaceful and enjoyable spot for many of our guests.

We appreciate your feedback and hope you were still able to enjoy parts of your visit.

We wish you the best on your future camping adventures!

Large sites reasonable rates

Campground has nice large sites. On ATV route. Small - medium swim pond with floats for climbing and jumping. One end of pond shallow for the very young.

Small office with drinks and ice cream. Within 1/4 mile of a welcoming bar and limited grill. Within 1/8 mile of an outdoor concert venue (summers.)

Rates are very reasonable. Large dog exercise area. Plenty of walking gravel roads on camp grounds.

Family and ATV riders oriented.
