Please contact the West Virginia State Parks Call Center at 1-833-WV-PARKS to plan your stay at the Ranger Outpost Cabin. The cabin is accessed via a 3.3-mile hike. After checking in with the park, guests will walk across the bridge over Camp Creek and hike up the Farley Ridge Trail for one mile, gaining elevation over three switchbacks to the top mountain. After 2 more miles, guests will take the Almost Heaven Trail for 0.3 miles to the cabin. Guests who make a reservation will be contacted with directions on where they can park their car during their stay. The cabin features a studio-style interior with four bunk-style beds and a loft with a twin bed. Mattress pads are provided and located outside you’ll find a cooking grate, fire ring, picnic table and toilet.

Note: Guests must bring their own bedding, lights, water and food. The Ranger Outpost Cabin is not equipped with a kitchen, plumbing or electricity.
