Nice for a quick trip

It’s a boat in site that doesn’t require permits, it’s one of the most easily accessible sites in the area. It can get pretty crowded sometimes. You can boat in, or hike the (approximately) 3 miles. Camp sites right on the lake, looking down valley. Trash cans and bear boxes available. Relaxing place to set up a hammock for the afternoon, or stay a few days.

Love North Cascades

my husband and I stayed at numerous campsites along the North Cascades Highway. We stayed here 1 night and did some hiking the next morning. Incredible hikes along this highway, so I’d highly recommend looking up doable hikes for your pace/knowledge and so at least 1!! The campground was smaller, but provided us a good night stay for the night. We enjoyed the separation of sites with trees and bushes. There were quite a bit of bugs, which is to be expected in The summer month of Washington. Bug spray is a must!!! Picnic table plus fire ring at every site. Would also recommend reserving s spot ahead of time or getting there early. The campsite was full when we got there but thankfully we reserved a spot months prior.
