Boating, kayaking, and fishing draw most visitors to Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park, a Washington State Parks campground on the south shore of Lake Chelan that runs from March through November. The park has a dock, a small on-site store, and direct water access, making it a natural fit for campers who arrive by boat as well as by car. Cell service is essentially absent here, which is worth factoring into trip planning.
Sites vary considerably in character. Some sit close to Twenty-Five Mile Creek itself, where the sound of moving water carries through the night and muffles neighboring camp noise. Others are positioned near the RV dump station and bathrooms, which can affect the feel of a stay depending on where a reservation lands. Sites are close together, and the campground fills up on holiday weekends. Showers are available but coin-operated, running roughly seven minutes per quarter.
The swimming area is modest and tends to suit younger children more than adults. Sonia B. notes the "fishing area is very limited," so anglers expecting extensive shoreline access may want to adjust expectations. Kayakers have more flexibility, with a nearby beach reachable by water. For those exploring the broader area, Twentyfive Mile Creek WADNR Dispersed and Grouse Mountain Campground provide less-developed alternatives among the campsites near Twenty-Five Mile Creek. Full hookups are available for RVs up to 30 feet, and reservations are accepted, which is advisable for summer and holiday visits. This campground works best for families and boaters who prioritize lake access over seclusion.
