Small Campground, close sites

I decided to stay here instead of trying to find a spot at Lake Chelan. The campground is on a small lake just a few miles from Lake Chelan. I wished I'd had a kayak or canoe.

When I called to make my reservation, she asked if I wanted lake front. Since it was during Covid, I asked for a site as far away from other campers as I could. I was glad I did because the lakefront sites were super close and would not have allowed for Covid-safe distancing. But I got a very sweet site at the back of the campground in this super cute area to explore.

I didn't use the bathroom facilities (Covid). The host was super nice and helpful. Lots of wineries and orchards to explore. Great bike riding!

Experience Chelan Without Fighting the Crowds!

This is one of the most amazing campgrounds I’ve ever visited. It doesn’t look like much but it boasts waterfront tent camping and the showers and bathrooms are always clean and stocked. Sites are relatively small but big enough for two tents, their picnic table, fire pit, and some camping chairs. With two docks for fishing and floating as well as the adjascent boat launch, you’ll be able to play with all your water toys on Wapato Lake! I would highly recommend staying here if you want to visit the Chelan area without camping in downtown proper.
