Disappointing

This place is terribly managed. A tree that was rotten fell in our campsite almost crushing a dog and crushed our chair. They offered 12.95 refund then Rhonda the manager refused to give it after I patiently waited for them to process the refund that never happened saying I waited too long.(2 1/2 weeks) She was rude and very unprofessional. I do not recommend staying here. Poorly maintained and The Artillery fire all through the night is just great to

Great place for short or long term

Riverbend is a beautiful campground set on the Nisqually River. It’s far enough away that you have quiet (except for the train), but close enough to major roadways to be convenient.

They were in the process of lots of improvements when we stayed in late winter/Spring and early Summer. Newly paved roads, a new playground, and some improvements to their clubhouse.

Bath house and laundry were always clean.

The little surprise fairy houses and gnome homes set throighoit were really fun for my kids.

We would definitely go back.

Really nice waterfront sites!

Riverbend had only a couple of really nice waterfront sites with lovely landscape views. The rest of the campsites were ok and were nice and clean, but the toilet is far (by the water) if you decide to stay in one of the mountain view sites up front. I'm guessing you have to get there super early to get the good spots for unreservable 'first come first serve' times of year.

Riverbend

This is not the best campsite i've been to. The drive was so bad because of the holes in the ground. The campsite was littered with trash. The only good thing was the kind neighbors probably. I would not come back here
