Horse enthusiasts will find dedicated equestrian facilities at Mt Adams Horse Campground, which operates from May through October within Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The US Forest Service manages this specialized campground that combines forested areas with open terrain, creating varied landscapes for both horses and riders. A strict no-pets policy keeps the focus on equestrian activities.
The campground's location provides access to forest trails while maintaining the open spaces horses need. Nearby alternatives include Wicky Shelter Campground for campers traveling without horses.
