Deep in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Wicky Shelter Campground functions more as a trailhead than a traditional camping destination. The Forest Service maintains this small site with basic amenities including an outhouse and a picnic table positioned under a shelter structure.
Campers can pitch tents in the forested area, though no running water is available on-site. The location provides access to forest trails and sits near a creek. Open from June through October, the campground allows alcohol and offers both drive-in and walk-in access. Cell service reaches the area. For additional forest camping, Morrison Creek sits 2.7 miles north.
