Lake EllenLake Ellen can be found in a setting of rock outcropings and timber. It has a primitive boat launch. You can enjoy fishing, camping, swimming, and canoeing.
The spaces were quite large and not very shaded. The lake is nice, but you can't see it from any of the campsites. Lake Ellen West is by far better. If you go down the road a little, there is a beautiful view of the lake. Vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings are available. There are also dumpsters.
It's very secluded and beautiful, the people here were all polite. Lots of nature to explore but pack in what you pack out, no running water but that's perfect. It's REAL camping. had a very nice timeee
