Very difficult but rewarding
Amazing place to visit. Be prepared for a difficult climb. Well worth the effort however!

Snowy in June
We went in mid June and hit snow about 1 mike past Lena Lake. We continued another mile crossing several downed trees and snow patches before deciding to turn back. BEAUTIFUL views on the way up the hillside to the lake though. Lookong forward to finishing out the hike later on in the summer. The campground is covered in snow most of June.
Worth the climb
This was my first backpacking trip. It was brootal but way beyond worth the exhaustion. Watch out for bees! Be prepared to climb! Provides bear wire to hang your food at night. Lots of sites once you reach the top! Beautiful views if the clouds aren't rolling in. Must go!
