campground: my family and i have been enjoying this area since i was a kid. this spot will always hold a very special place in my heart. camping along bumping river seriously has it all, wide open sites that allow shooting, biking, fishing, fires, you name it. a very short drive to the lake. please keep this area clean! this is a dispersed camping area, no toilets, no tables, no potable water. be prepared and do your part to keep our forest clean. 

Product: As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get to test products. At Bumping River CG, I tested two Icemule Jaunt 9-liter capacity cooler backpacks! Im giving this product a 4 star rating! These backpacks are very small and compact which I love. Its rated to hold a 6 pack but I would say you can comfortably fit 7! Its comfortable, light and stylish to wear. They kept our drinks cold, my only complaint was that I noticed on day 3 it was starting to sweat. We were camping in very warm weather so I think that played a part. I would not recommend using this bag as your main source of cooler. Certainly perfect for a day out on the boat, kayak, bike ride or even a short day hike.

This site was cool, ran by us army corps. 24 sites that are free, first come first serve. There was a boat launch as well as a day use area with a bathroom. On the other side of the park there were the camp sites with picnic tables at each spot. Fires were not allowed while we were there. There was postage stating watch out for rattle snakes but we did not see any. The fishing must have been good as a lot of people were out on the water. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset here before going to bed.

We stayed here 2 nights and will definitely be coming back. Tons of open sites to choose from right along the river. Designated fire rings but currently there's a burn ban. No vault toilets or picnic tables. Pack it in, pack it out! When we first arrived we spent about 20 minutes cleaning the site we chose after the people whom were here before us. Not such a big deal just a little saddening. #1 rule is to leave no trace. Extremely grateful we get to explore and camp on land that is free. We should all do our part and take care of it. 

A little surprising that we had cell phone reception with sprint! 

Near this area there are a lot or activities. Biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking.. to name a few!

Camp here for free for 7 days with a discover pass! 2 pit toilets, fire ring and picnic table at each site. Big areas for RVs, horse trailers and group sites. No water hook ups or dump stations. River access and lots of trails for nature walks. Very beautiful area! I had phone service and I use Sprint.

Nice little loop camp ground, 3 sites that were pretty spacious all include a fire ring and picnic table. Free camping for up to 3 days. Right on the lake! Nice dock to go out to fish on as well. 1 vault toilet. Nice big parking lot for boats and trailers! Right off of i90.

Campground: Aside from being extremely easy to find, I think one major benefit of this campground is that it is so close to town. Normally, we prefer to be the furthest distance away from civilization but at Twentynine Pine you still get that secluded woodys feel and right on the river! Very large camp area, about 60 sites to choose from. All had fire rings and some even had picnic tables. Toilets were reasonable, some had toilet paper and hand sanitizer and some did not. This campground is located on DNR land so not as frequently maintained. Also being on DNR land means you only need a discover pass to camp, no nightly fee! The sites ranged in size, the one we picked was pretty spacious with river access. Tons of near by trails and places to explore. All the wild flowers are currently in full bloom.

Product: Being a ranger for the dyrt is incredibly awesome and allows me to test some products while I'm out exploring. The most recent product I've had the opportunity to try  out are the Aftershokz Trekz Air bluetooth headphones. I think the biggest benefit of these headphones are the fact that they're so light, you might just forget that you're wearing them. These headphones are very flexible and come nicely packaged in a silicone pouch that zips shut and allows you to store them just about anywhere. They charge quickly and so far I don't have any complaints. The one thing I will say is that I thought they were an odd item to test while camping. I typically do not listen to music while camping so I joked about having our neighbors at the campground test them so we did not have to listen to the music they chose. Other than that these headphones have been great!

Loved this campground! They have everything you would need! Large enough sites for RV, nice convenient store on site! Kayak and canoe rentals, plus more! Beautiful area but would recommend going in warmer months.

Paid $18 per night but starting October 1st the fee is reduced. I would check the website. Great for fishing. Overlooks lake roosevelt!

$10 per night, 2 vault toilets, 17 sites right off the creek, fires allowed. I would recommend 4x4 getting here. Great for fishing.

Very different, primitive camping. Small island with only 2 sites that I could find. According to the website there were supposed to be more. 1 vault toilet available, picnic table and fire ring. Nice trail to walk with beautiful views. Very romantic setting! Rough paddle to this island!

this is an awesome little island! 1 vault toilet, picnic table and fire rings. there were raccoons on the island with us but other than that we had the place to ourselves. we kayaked to the island, the waters were pretty rough so I would recommend for anyone planning to stay here to look into the waters, tide and wind report the day of. Or if you have the option of using a motorized boat! Beautiful views with a trail that circles the island. There were some sea lions swimming around in the area but never actually approached the land. Awesome time!

Free camp ground in Mt. Rainier national park. Mostly used by backpackers but car campers are welcome. Spots are very small and there is zero privacy. All sites have bear lockers and picnic tables. 1 Vault toilet. Recycling and trash cans. Trail heads at camp ground going in several directions. We did the spray falls hike as well as tolmie peak. Both hikes are beautiful. About 3 miles each.

Camping at a state park is new to us. We typically camp on DNR land or dispersed camping. Boy did this camp ground have it all! Fishing, kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, showers, coffee, you name it! Very popular area, our site was pretty small but managed to fit 3 tents and two vehicles. All sites had picnic areas. Great beach spots and trails.

Right on lake wenatachee, 18 a night. 4 vault toilets and plenty of sites, picnic tables, water access and fire rings. we had the entire camp ground to ourselves very romantic, slept right on the beach. Kayaking was good here.

Right off the highway, on lake roosevelt. 18 dollars a night. There are fire rings, picnic tables and vault toilets. All short walk in sites. Access to water, great for kayaking.

Free. 17 sites, two different areas to choose from on either side of the lake. Accessible fishing dock. Vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. Trail around the camp ground that takes you threw the meadow and to a look out area which was pretty cool. The trail continues on to an old shelter that is also accessible by car.

Smaller camp ground, 7 sites, with boat launch, good kayaking and fishing, picnic tables and vault toilets.

Campground

12 sites total to choose from, all with fire rings and huge picnic tables! Two vault toilets on site. There was a short trail around the camp ground that we had access to. The only negative thing I would say about this campground was that there was a vault toilet directly behind our site and it smelt horribly! On the bright side (literally) star gazing here was spectacular! Only paid 6 dollars to stay here per night.

Product review

Being a ranger for the dyrt I get to test some products on some of my adventures. My most recent product is a pair of Oofos recovery shoes! I choose the all black OOmg low women's shoe to try. Their website suggested sizing up if you generally wear a half size so I went with a size 7 and they fit perfectly. I absolutely LOVE these shoes. They are truly the most comfiest shoe I have ever worn. When I first put them on I kept saying "this is magic on my feet." These shoes literally feel like you're walking on clouds. The only negative thing I have to say about them are that they are not flattering, AT ALL. The fact that they are SO comfortable makes up for everything! Oofos are my new go to shoe for around camp and even short nature walks and kayak trips. Before being able to test them out in the dirt I wore them to work to truly test out the recovery feature. After a 10 hour shift on my feet I can certainly vogue for Oofos recovery technology feature. I'm always hesitant wearing new shoes to work since I'm primarily on my feet all day but I had zero regrets after a full day of wearing them. They're now my favorite shoe for nearly everything.

Small turn around kind of spot, 6 sites with tent pads and picnic tables. 1 vault toilet. Boat launch accessible to access gorge lake. Which I will say was more like a river due to the dam near by. Even though this site is right off the highway the noise isn’t too bad since you’re right on the water. The sites are pretty close together so I wouldn’t say theres much privacy at this camp ground but its free and I will be back. Right by diablo lake!

This was our first stop of a 7 day road trip! We arrived in the dark and only stayed for the night. Surprisingly there were plenty of open spots! Our site was small, equipped with a bear locker, fire ring and picnic table. The camp ground had flush toilets, the bathrooms were very clean. They also had a garbage and recycling service, and even potable water available. We explored the camp ground during the day. This camp is right at Diablo lake! There were even camp sites right on the water! Fully accessible fishing pier and boat launch. Kayaking was rough as the winds were strong while we were here. Hiking and more available to those that stay. Fishers had a place to clean their catch! We paid 16 dollars for 1 night. Typically camp at dispersed sites but I would certainly stay here again.
