Quite campground

A nice spot nestled up in the hills. Yes, as stated, it is in a hill and there are areas that if you are walking could be an incline. Nothing serious but I suppose if you’re using the facilities and walking back in something like flip flops then yes, it would be a pain. I only have it a 4 star because we didn’t not use the showers and only went to the office to check in. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in space 31 and didn’t have very good reception for WiFi and Verizon was a bit sketch inside the trailer, outside was better. The spot is long, however #31 slopes at the back of the spot so it isn’t as long as we’d like it to have been. But we made it work. We stayed June 7-9 and our spot was shady.

Peaceful, Shady and Green, poor WiFi

This campground is off the main road and secluded. Very restful atmosphere. It’s well maintained and has a small but adequate shop. They have a cup of coffee available for $1.50 and ice at $3 a bag.

Important to know … it is situated on a hilly property, so it’s not an easy stroll to the restrooms and showers unless one is young/athletic. We were in Space 30 and it required 3 hills to go down and back up. They offered to move us, but we were already set up. We made due by driving our car to and from.

Others have stated great WiFi. In Space 30 it was very poor. At times wasn’t even detectable. Our Verizon picked up 2 bars. If staying connected is important to you, ask for a space near the WiFi units.

The bathrooms were cleaned daily. The coin showers were on a timer. It took 4 quarters for a get it done shower. With 6 quarters, it was nicer. Water pressure and temperature excellent. Even though they clean regularly, the showers floors are very aged cement and have a dirty appearance. I wore beach sandals and it was fine.

All in all, would return for sure. The entire staff was super friendly, organized and accommodating.

Perfect spot for a Gorge Adventure

What an incredible campground. Nice shaded, private spots. Enough distance between campers that it feels secluded. Though we were in our RV the tent camping looked spectacular! Kind front desk team. Magical, large grassy lawn that our Bernedoodle loved. We will be back!

Great family owned campground!

What a wonderful place. Very nice setting, back in the mountains. Quiet and serene, with the occasional RVs coming and going but all in all, a great place to stay. Marisa and Kyle, along with Brooke and a few others, run a very laid back, friendly campground. They make you feel like family from the time you check in to the day you leave. It is well maintained and very clean. The restrooms are cleaned daily as they adhere to the State COVID restrictions as well as the 6 ft. social distance at the front office. Only thing is that I wish they had a laundry room! You all are terrific! Thanks for everything! If back in area, look for us to stay a bit again!

Simple, quiet, clean, and peaceful

A bit of a drive to get there but worth it. Extremely well-run campground in a beautiful setting with good access to the town of Hood River. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Poor cell service but good WiFi. Our camp host (Harold) was great. He noticed we were traveling with mountain bikes and was kind enough to lead us to some great trails just outside of Hood River. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely like to stay here for a few more days, in fact, we liked it so much here we ended up inadvertently causing a bit of an issue by getting out of our site a little later than the posted checkout time. I appreciate that Kyle (the owner) didn't make an issue of it (Thanks).

Staff friendly from beginning to end

Staff very friendly and helpful over the phone. We were on our motorcycles and just tenting so she helped us pick out the perfect site.

Lovely wooded campground

Some of the sites are on the smaller side and a little tricky to back into but doable. Quiet wooded are and staff was very helpful and friendly.

Quiet and Well Maintained

Away from the railroad tracks. Great sites for tent camping. RV spots are a little close. Clean bathhouse. Don’t be scared away because there are no pull through spots. The management can coach you into the site. They were great.
