Great spot

We were passing through and Horn Rapids was perfect for our use. It has a nice little mini mart, drive through spots, full hookups, playground for the kids, clean bathrooms/showers, and allows pets. It is also close to Safeway and right outside the gate is a camper trailer friendly gas station with…

Camping and day use on sand dunes *WiFi

Last visited in 2020. New is Wi-Fi. I did remote work off and on. Used to come every year in late summer when water level is low and there are more sand dunes. There's 6 circular FHU loops (back in only), a group camp and cabin loop. In the main campground campsites are well spaced with room in the…

Ancient Lakes MTB trails

WDFW keeps this place well. Group sites abound. The MTB trails are something to see. Be prepared for wind and bugs.

Worth the proximity and the experience and the view darn it!

We went pre-c19 and had a blast. It was cool being able to walk to and from the event, especially if you take advantage of the pre and post event camping. Waaaaay too crowded, so I'll look forward to next time when we aren't so in each other's grill.

Great little gem backing to the Yakima river

I really liked this campground. I wish we could stay longer than 14 days out of 45, but that's the rules. There is no camp host but maintenance is there daily to tend to the grounds. It is a well kept place I can say that. The only complaint I have is that the sprinklers go on in the middle of the…

Super clean, nice bathrooms with showers

Stayed here while in the area to do a trail run. The campground is super well maintained, with plenty of parking at every spot. If you are tent camping, they have ~16' gravel pads for a tent at each site.

You will likely be surrounded by moderately high-end RVs. We definitely felt like the…

Great dispersed camping on the East side of the Cascades

Camped here in February and November and in generally recommend it for fall and spring. Avoid summer when it gets too hot and ticks and rattlesnakes are around. It gets cold at night so come prepared.

There are several established sites near Ancient Lakes and Dusty Lakes that can be accessed from…

Decent camp ground

This is a good place to camp, but.

While we did have good coverage for our Verizon phones.  We got site 98 which backs up to the lake.  Great idea, but due to people having no manners, we had people walking through our campsite to get to the water to fish constantly.

This was also the…

Always a great spot to camp when climbing

This is a well-known primitive camping area for rock climbers and other outdoor recreation folks (there are also hiking, biking and boating opportunities in the Frenchman Coulee recreation area). Lots of vans, tents and trucks. Small camper trailers can work in some areas but the roads leading to…

Nice place

We didn’t get to fish but we spent the night here on our way home from Seattle. Great park. Nice views. A fair amount of space between the camp spots. WiFi also.
