Easy

If you have access, use it. $50 for FHU. The laundry is fine. The bathhouse is big and well maintained. There are two separate buildings with these facilities. I observed Commons#2. The park is kid of tight for my tastes. But the sites are big and separated from your neighbors. Very comfortable and woodsy. Great place.

Pretty lake, lots of trees, and cheap

It has a beautiful view of the lake. It’s also not to far from the commissary and gas station. Though we had problems with the camp sites. 1st one had a bad power pole and the next one the water leaked. Still we would return.

Nice famcamp

W/s/e at each site. Great stay for the price. Laundry washers work well, but driers don't heat up. You can hear the highway and occasional aircraft (mostly ch-47s) during the day but nights are quite convenient to I5 and PX. Would definitely stay here again. If you are a light sleeper you might want to consider Holiday Famcamp instead.

Great Military only campground for a New Year's eve trip

Great campground that serves military exclusively. We made a next day reservation due to the weather and just wanted a night away. Unfortunately the restrooms right next to our site were closed so it was a slight walk to the nearest restroom. Restrooms were heated and well taken care of. Only some of the sites have fire rings (so make sure to ask when making your reservation). The Northwest Adventure Center had propane, a dump station, firewood and tons of others things you can buy to make the outdoors more fun. Super quiet area. Only 2 dogs allowed per reservation. No camp-wide wifi but we didn't care about that. Great AT&T cell service. You can hear the nearby trains passing by but we were used to that already so it didn't bother us. Camp Host was amazing and able to answer our questions. Definitely will visit again.

Secluded tree filled northwest beauty

Bottom line, this is a DoD facility, so will be helpful for Active, Reserve, Retired military only. We made reservations online in Sept. While located in Joint Base Lewis McChord the camp is close enough to I-5 so we had great cell reception. Check in is through the Activities Center when rentals of sporting good and water craft can be arranged. Full hookup was about $28/night.
