    Tinney Flat

    Great spot!

There is a sign on the way up that says no dispersed camping, but that’s just for a specific area. A little ways past that it switches back to free dispersed. Nice quiet spot with hardly anyone else! Cute stream and mountain bike track on the way up too.

Esquire Estates Mobile Home and RV Park

Beautiful Park, very scenic and quiet

We love going to this Park in Castle Dale.  Castle Dale has so much to offer us because we have 3 kids and there is so much to do in the area.  Our kids are 9, 7 and 3 1/2 so it makes things very convenient and easy for us to go there and we can rent ATV's locally as well and there is a lot of close by site seeing.

The park has a new owner and they have been consistently improving the parks.  We were there about a month ago and they just opened up the laundry facility and club house, I hear they are going to add a dog park , provide propane sales and even have charging stations for EVs.  Love that they are making these improvements shows that they really care

Fishlake National Forest Oak Creek Rec Site

    Peaceful, shady, decent

Located in a quiet area with plenty of shade. Nice pavilion and pretty clean grounds (at least when I visited). The main two things I didn't like was that the water from the in-ground spigots smelled and tasted like pool water and was also not ice cold (I love nice, ice-cold drinking water). The tap water in the bathroom also smelled like pool water. Otherwise, it's pretty nice.

    Canyon Rd Dispersed

    Convenient Rest Stop

Convenient overnight spot — Close to town and a gas station, making it a great choice for a quick stop. You can hear some road noise, but it's not too disruptive. Easy in-and-out access. Full cell reception at the top of the hill; none at the lower area. Perfect for a one-night stay.

    LZJ Ranch's Hiawatha Hideout!

    Beautiful views

A nice secluded getaway. A little harder for big rigs to get in, but once you're parked, it's quiet and breathtaking. Spaced out enough from neighbors to not really need to interact if you choose not to

    Maple Canyon

    Incredible Canyon!

This was mom’s (me) first camping trip, ever! My son and I found this gem in late March (opening day 3/21) for FF (that’s first come first served). We didn’t realize it was still covered in snow. I drive a Subaru outback AWD and still needed to stop and put on the chains. But totally worth it! We parked in front of the campsite (which had a picnic table, fire pit, and grill), dug out a footprint for our tent in the snow, built a fire and had the place to ourselves. Though it got pretty cold my son had thought ahead and brought zero degree sleeping bags. Slept like a baby! The views and the coolness of the canyon were just incredible. We’ve tried to go back over a weekend in the later spring and summer, but it’s a rock climbers paradise and now you need reservations on the weekend. Will definitely go back in the fall and will plan ahead and reserve a spot. My son is an outdoor climber (I belay) and he’s looking forward to the climbs!
