Free and hike-in only, West Fork Whiskey Creek sits within Fishlake National Forest and requires a roughly 2-mile walk from the trailhead along the creek canyon. No developed sites, no facilities. Campers choose their own flat spots for tents or find trees suitable for a hammock. Water from the creek is possible when it's running, but summer months can leave it dry, so carrying water in is the safer approach. Deer and elk sightings are reported along the route. This area works best for those comfortable with self-sufficient, leave-no-trace camping.
