Great setting, spacious, upscale

I'm new to RVing but Bay Point Landing is the nicest park I've experienced, and was clearly designed to be serveral cuts above the usual park. First off, the sites are spacious and equipped with FHU, a fire pit, and a picnic table. The pads are gravel and are nicely maintained. We paid extra to have one of the waterfront sites (#4) and it was well worth the extra $ - we had a full-on view of the bay, and our own very short trail from the site, through the shrubs to the beach. Perfect for dogs! It was so nice to watch the tide rise and fall and see the wildlife including herons and egrets. The buildings that house the office, store, baths, laundries, pool, and workout room have modern styling and are very upscale.

Well-maintained and Friendly

I felt lucky to get a last-minute drop-in spot in busy Bodega Bay on the weekend. A two-night minimum is required, but I was happy to stay for two nights. The staff is very friendly, COVID restrictions had the restrooms and laundry facilities closed, but I appreciated the serious adherence to masks and other COVID guidelines. The park is very well-maintained, nicely landscaped, and each day the crew cleans and rakes all of the sites after check-out. A Mexican restaurant and coffee shop are at the front of the property, and other businesses are nearby. On Saturdays there is a farmer's market on the property adjascent to the park. There are nearby paths which I didn't get to explore too much, but I believe bay and beach access isn't far away. The only aspects preventing a 5 star reveiw are that the sites are a bit close together, and there's not a view other than the trees.

Pros and cons

Stayed here for a night in late September 2020. Upgraded shower facilities would earn another star from me.

Pros:

  • FRIENDLY staff - really nice and helpful
  • Very well-maintained sites
  • Good, easy to use connections in the site
  • Nice views (if not blocked by other RVs Cons:
  • National park entrance fee or pass required for access to the RV campground in addition to nightly camping fee
  • TIGHT spaces, everyone sandwiched in
  • NO shade or shaded picnic tables in very hot sun
  • Unairconditioned restroom facilities and cramped showers are a disappointment
Nice facilities, well-maintained

Spent a night here. Nice facilities, with covered picnic tables at each RV spot, water, and most with electric. Nearby dump station. Some grass and green areas for dogs. Adequate shower facilities. Pretty scenery, and several miles away from the interstate so very quiet. There was an algae bloom that made lake hazardous, so we kept dogs away from the water.

Nice facilities!

I booked Indian Springs last minute because nearby campgrounds with reviews were full. But Indian Springs deserves a review! Spacious, full facilities. Lots of open area, with room for games and kids. Vintage hot spring swimming pool on site. Friendly staff. Convenient freeway access. Pleasant setting.
