Dirt roads lead to this BLM dispersed camping area where multiple vehicle-accessible sites spread across relatively flat terrain. The main access route forks shortly after leaving the highway, with one path climbing uphill and another heading downhill to additional camping spots. Reviewers note the area stays clean and quiet at night despite proximity to the main road.
Sites accommodate RVs up to 26 feet, though the uphill section requires careful navigation for larger rigs arriving after dark. Several established fire pits dot the area, and the open layout provides views toward surrounding cliffs. Cell service reaches most spots. For a more developed option with additional amenities, White House Trailhead & Campground sits less than two miles south.
Description
The Paria Contact Station is a seasonally staffed information center primarily focused on assisting guests visiting the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, and nearby sites within the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The station also serves as a pickup location for Paria Canyon Overnight permits. Drinking water is available year-round in the parking area.
The front desk and exterior bathroom meet ADA accessibility standards.
