It’s like a little Switzerland

Very quiet, sites are pretty level. Currently the vault toilets are closed but they have portable toilets available that appear to be cleaned every 3 days. Host Sara is very nice. Cell service Verizon and att is decent. Road up is steep but smooth. Lots of cars parked on the road near the campsite makes for difficult driving around on tight roads in our 26.5 foot RV but we were able to do it. Mountains are very beautiful up here. As always people don’t seem to understand the concept of pack it in pack it out so there is some trash but much better than most other sites. We always end up having to pick up after others because most people just don’t seem to care and figure someone else will do it for them. Keep it Better than you found it.

Peaceful

We spent a night at campsite #4 and it was awesome. Lots of privacy and space and the stream is flowing heavily. Definitely a little bit of road noise but a nice getaway from SLC

Gorgeous campground

I highly recommend this campground on Mt. Timpanogos and near the beautiful resort created by Robert Redford, Sundance. Camp hosts are friendly and most of the sites are roomy and well-spaced.

A cool getaway

Sites are small and primarily tent sites. There are a couple sites which would accommodate a small 16 ft trailer. We had to unhook and park diagonal to fit small trailer and short truck.

We didn't spend much time during the day as we were visiting relatives near Provo and enjoyed the cooler getaway in the evening.

The drive up here was beautiful and the hiking trails probably have amazing views.

A quiet place

Our site was right by the entrance and near a stream bed that was dry. It was incredibly quiet, silent even, at night. Gorgeous but a little chilly.

Convenient and lovely

I came to hike Timp and stayed for a couple nights just as they were closing and this was the perfect spot under a mile from the trailhead. They were closing a few loops after Labor Day for the season and there was a lot of ATV traffic at night on the road, but overall it was a great place to relax after the mountain.
