I love that they have separate parts of the campground for RVs and tents so you don’t have to hear generators if you’re tent camping. Our site had some trees that we pitched the tent under for shade. Bathrooms were clean with running water and a dishwashing area too.
For visiting during the off-season in April I wasn’t expecting it to be so popular. Most people were quiet but there isn’t much privacy between sites. Only a handful of RV sites in loop A so hope you don’t get next to the generator happy RV campers like we did. Bathrooms are nice and cleaned daily. Showers, ice, and wood can be found at a little store up the road.

Beautiful remote location w minimal amenities but 3 boy scout troops of screaming children didn’t make it enjoyable.
Says these are first come sites on recreation.gov but got there and told i had to have a reservation. American Land and Leisure campgrounds suck.
Beautiful views of the mountains but not much privacy. It’s all open so you can hear everyone and their annoying kids. Wouldn’t recommend for tent campers. Showers in town but no pop up showers allowed.
Small campground with clean vault toilets. Private and easy access to the creek behind site 4. Site 4 was definitely the best. Only annoying thing was paying $10 vehicle fee.
RVs everywhere and very close sites. Windy and no shade or privacy.
Awesome views and nice spacious site. Quiet until the families unloaded their RVs with children and the white girls partied till 1am. Decent little camp store too.
Very sketchy and uncomfortable. Camp host is disrespectful and unhelpful. He runs his generator all night. There’s a guy who apparently does a radio show from a site on the RV loop and he is constantly intoxicated and loud throughout the night. Worst camping experience i’ve ever had. Did not feel safe.
Beautiful well spaced sites with plenty of room to spread out. Sparkling clean bathrooms. Road noise but it’s not so bad at night. Great camp host. Firewood and water. Lots of hiking nearby.
This campground is basically abandoned so no upkeep of the bathrooms or water. The sites were all nice, only a few in a loop with plenty of space between. Only a handful of people here and it’s a bit hidden.
Beautiful and well kept campground but noisy as it’s off a major 4x4 road. Sites pretty close together and fills up quickly. $7 a night
Hardly anyone here. Plenty of places to camp and enjoy some quiet. Lots of cows in the recreational area! Not much hiking but lots of off road trails.
We went on a Monday in July and only saw a handful of people in the campground. The BLM “improved” the campground and now charges $20 a night. No water. Leave no trace and stay off the fragile soil.
Our site was located right near the entrance to the campground and had 3 tent pads. There were two little caverns where we sat in to escape the storm. If you’re luckier than us and get quiet neighbors, the park is silent. Be mindful that you’re in a canyon, surrounded by rocks which echo and carry your voice!! Overall we enjoyed and decided this was definitely the best site in the park.
Mostly quiet and secluded. Good views of the rocks but little shade. Site 2 is right past the entrance but is fairly spaced from other sites
We loved the park and being able to pick fruit from the orchards. However there were tons of noisy RVs and children. No camp-host in sight.
This area is primarily used by OHV/ATVS and usually in large groups. It was noisy and very full with many people at each site. The host was nice but seemed like they had a hard time handling all of the people. Our site was very nice and shady however and it did get quiet at night.
The quietest national park campground we’ve been in. Smaller sites with little privacy or shade. Enjoyed the tent only loops.
