Anderson Cove Campground is a popular facility located 10 miles east of Ogden, Utah, on the banks of Pineview Reservoir in scenic Ogden Valley. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing and swimming.
Campers come to Anderson Cove for picnicking, fishing, swimming and boating. Pineview Reservoir offers excellent water skiing opportunities. Kayaking and canoeing are popular on the reservoir's quieter coves. A boat ramp, swimming beach, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are located within the campground.
Anderson Cove lies at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Its open meadows and manicured lawns are lined with a variety of shade trees. Temperatures are warm during the day.

Ogden River Scenic Byway, this beautiful byway, beginning at the mouth of Ogden Canyon winds through 44 miles of Utah's most beautiful mountains and countryside. Rock walls and tree-covered mountain sides line the roadway that follows the Ogden River to Pineview Dam. Small islands dot the man-made reservoir and surrounding fields are either shades of green or snow-white. The magnificent Wasatch Mountain Range stretches heavenward and the mountains cradle the reservoir and small communities through which the byway passes in their gentle valleys.
Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under "Late Cancellations" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Refunds for Bankcard Purchases: Refunds for bank card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank card. Blacksmith Fork Guard Station is located in the Cache National Forest, approximately 11 miles east of Hyrum, in northern Utah. The Guard Station was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 as part of the New Deal Program. Early Forest Service stations were typically spaced a "days ride by horseback" from each other. The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests has decided to rent the cabin to the public so visitors can enjoy a rustic experience similar to that of early Forest Rangers and their families.
A variety of hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle trails crisscross the surrounding area. The cabin is less than one mile from the Richards Hollow Trailhead and Friendship Campground.
The small green and white cabin sits on the bank of the Left Hand Fork of the Blacksmith Fork River at an elevation of 5,400 feet. It is surrounded by box elder and oak trees with the steep canyon wall behind the cabin covered in Douglas fir trees.
Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area is approximately 5-miles southeast along the main fork of the Blacksmith Fork River and State Route 101.

The tent site is large, grass and away from the RV sites. Definitely a spot we will stay again. Note the site offices close at 7pm. We had no reservations so you must arrive before 7pm. We have been coming here for over 25 years. It was a membership campground until about 5 years ago when Sun Outdoors took over. While there have been some improvements, it has been sorely lacking in maintenance. In addition, management doesn’t appear to have much motivation to enforce rules that made this a beautiful and enjoyable place to stay.

We did not have reservations and with two long back to back travel days heading home, we needed an easy place to land close to the interstate. $60 for one night electric and water which we did not need for our teardrop, but all sites were the same price which included park fees.
Very nice staff and host found us a spot with which even had a limited view of the lake. Site was brand new with pull through that would easily accommodate a larger rig. Had a nice pavilion type cover over the picnic table, fire ring, and restrooms and showers were new in the section we were staying in.
As sun went down the mosquitos started to swarm and chased us inside. Haven't experienced that level of bugginess outside of several of the swamps we camped at in the southeast. Middle of the night a skunk visited our campsite and hung around for quite a while. Traffic noise from I-15 was excessive.
Don't let the pictures fool you. Views were ok in most directions but what I did not show was the large commercial storage yard used by the park service which was directly next door to our campsite. Fee's should have been much lower given the location but we did not have reservations and were fortunate to get a site.
If camping in a traditional RV this is an ok option, and it is cheaper than some of the commercial campgrounds nearby. Would stay here again if we needed an easy overnight stopover as the location is terrific.

Everyone here was so nice and the staff was absolutely fantastic and so accommodating. Good spacing between tent sites, and they were spacious. It’s set up in a loop with all the amenities right in the middle so no matter where your spot is you’re just a tiny stroll away. Heated pool when it’s in season, and they seem to host a lot of fun events! I missed the ice cream social sadly. They also have air hockey and a ping pong table in the office building. This was my favourite KOA so far!
Note: Bring bug spray! I got bit a fair amount by mosquitoes.

Just arrived at the camp site, not to big, the sites have shadow from trees (not all). Restrooms are not really clean, water of the pool seems to be a bit dirty. Next to paid activities there are some stuff kids can do for free.

GuideWe picked up our new Bean Trailer in Utah this January and needed a place to stay with bathroom facilities. This Camp was the only one around that had facilities in the wintertime. What a Godsend! The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were clean and warm which was very welcome with the weather in the single digits. I would highly recommend this Camp as a comfortable pass-through camp!
GuideTwo loops that we saw, the first has no hook ups and the second has power and water at each site. There’s a little paved slab with a picnic table and covering, each site has a fire pit and charcoal grill. $30 for no hook ups $40 for hookups, got in around 8pm and no $30 sites left. There are toilets and showers for each loop. Really close to the highway so be prepared for that noise, and there’s a train that goes by every so often.

The grounds are well cared for, the showers are free & hot, the bathroom is clean, & there’s laundry available. As other reviews have mentioned, the spaces are very close together & there is some traffic noise from the nearby interstate (this didn’t effect our sleep or experience, but it’s worth mentioning). We would definitely stay here again.
