Riverdale Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Riverdale Resort, an RV-oriented campground in Preston, Idaho, with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections for rigs up to 40 feet. The site also provides drinking water, showers, toilets, a dump station, and WiFi. Access is flexible, with drive-in, walk-in, and boat-in options on the property.

The main draw here is water access, which comes up in nearly every review. The Bear River Hot Springs pools are on-site, and one reviewer noted the pools "have been updated," pointing to some recent improvements. A water slide is located next door. That said, multiple reviewers describe the RV sites as crowded and in poor condition, with reports of overflowing garbage, broken windows on buildings, and maintenance issues across the facilities. Tent campers in particular have found little to work with here.

Cleanliness is the most consistent concern in the review record. Two separate reviewers flag the bathrooms and general upkeep as problems, and one described finding a neighbor's sewer hose on their assigned site. The gravel sites are functional, and staff get credit for being friendly and helpful, but the physical condition of the campground has drawn repeated criticism. Campers weighing their options in the area may also want to look at Cub River Lodge & RV Park, LLC or browse camping near Preston before committing.

If the hot springs are the priority and the site condition is a secondary concern, Riverdale Resort gives direct access to that experience.

Now called 'Bear River Hot Springs'

RV park is in bad shape and crowded. Looked like a couple of long term trashy residents. Hot Springs were fun. Overall I think it was overpriced and crowded for what you get and the quality of the sites. I'd recommend swimming and staying elsewhere.

Dirty and Run Down

The campsites were ok. Gravel back in campsite. Cabins were run down, public bathroom was nasty. Our kids enjoyed being so close to the water slide right next door. That was the highlight. The people who worked there were friendly. The entire place needs to be fixed up and cleaned. Garbage was over flowing. Overall I don’t recommend.

Resort? Not even a last resort!!!

At first glance we noticed how run down their buildings were including the multiple broken windows. We reluctantly pulled in & checked in. We pulled over to our site only to find no power box, no water hookup the neighbor’s sewer hose drain hooked up and under our table. The sewer hose on our spot was covered in sewage. We left. Never to ever return. Disgusting place!
