Free dispersed camping along the western slope of Marjum Canyon, managed by the BLM with no fees or reservations required. Pull-offs line both sides of the dirt road as it exits the canyon heading west, with some spots accessible to low-clearance vehicles and others requiring high clearance. Come prepared: no water, no shade, and no wood are available on-site, and cell service is unreliable throughout the area. Notch Peak, which rises roughly 2,000 feet above the valley floor, sits just to the south, and Notch Peak Trailhead gives campers a closer staging point for that terrain.
