A gravel pull-off across the road from Fish Lake, this free dispersed site in Fishlake National Forest works best as a quick overnight stop rather than a base camp. A camp store sits in the same parking lot. Late-night traffic is a consistent factor here, making tent camping less practical. Van and car campers who want lake access without a campground fee will find it functional. Those wanting a quieter setup may prefer nearby Fishlake National Forest Doctor Creek Campground, about half a mile south.
