FS Road #253 Stringham Cabin Dispersed Camping Area

I drove in a short way to where the road turns North with a meadow on your right and forest on your left and sites along the way. I grabbed a big open site at .7 miles where the satellite view seems to show buildings or RVs here but all was clear for me except for one large fire ring. Nice and shady in the afternoon but will be sunny in the morning. Very pleased with the short trek from Vernal. I still have decent AT&T cell service to post this review. A number of cows came by for a visit in the morning. They were interested in the fire ring for some reason. They didn't bring any pies.

Ok this one has a few layers to it. Right off the road you have a big lot. Big rig friendly. Also bathrooms here. Then there is a dirt road that goes back, a little bumpy but car friendly. Follow signs for thr historic site, maybe a mile or less. It opens up to a huge field with large trailer friendly sites. Some great views but the cons are a row of power lines running down the field and alot of AtV off road campers but this seems to be prime area for them so expect it anywhere around

This dispersed camping area is free and is along the FS roads that are on backside of a ridge behind the forest and is shield from hwy 191 noise. However it has a strong ATT cell signal (no Verizon or TMobile). Sites are along the FS roads and look east into the large valley meadow Bowden draw area. No toilets, tables or metal fire rings. No dumpsters. No water. True boondocking
