Clean & Quiet

Very well maintained roads out here, nobody around for miles, incredible history. So many roads to go explore old cabins, abandoned mines nearby. Just a great place to see & explore.

Not Real Camping

These are maintained spots more or less in a field behind a neighborhood. I made a reservation based upon the pictures, we didn’t even bother to stay. If you are literally only after a place to sleep I guess it’s fine. Other than that I would not recommend. The host wasn’t the nicest either, the spots are marked on a 4x4 with a 6” long piece of paper on them…I was looking for our spot and pulled into a loop that was reserved nobody was occupying it currently & the host jumped my ass when I turned around. His whole demeanor changed when I told him I had a reservation. Between the host & camping in someone’s field I left. Paid $28, such a waste.

Awesome Area

Went up in early June and it was perfect. Didn’t go all the way up as we arrived late but we encountered no snow. The road is a bit rough, mainly due to water runoff but nothing too bad. We seen 2 other people in spots and that was it. Very quiet, awesome spot overall. Will definitely go back. We have Verizon & TMobile & both had service. Good enough to stream music.

Nice & Quiet

Decent little camp spot to enjoy some quiet time and the sound of the small river running by. During my trip I seen maybe 5-6 people coming up after my arrival. All but 1 kept going up, I stayed in the lower lot. The large spot to the right as you cross the entry bridge at the sign. Campsite was clean, bathrooms were clean. No cell service, clean air. Good spot for an overnight, but nothing super special.

Mediocre

I will preface this by saying I was up here over July 24th weekend. Maybe another weekend would be better.

Campsites are nice and clean, bathrooms as well on my visit. You will be camping 20' from the road in all the spots more or less. The spots don't offer really any type of privacy either.

Like previously mentioned the road up is very rocky and bumpy. Definitely need a truck/SUV to get up. Trucks do pull trailers up there for their four wheelers/side by sides.

This weekend was absolute hell of hearing those things ripping up and down the road. Starting at around 8-9am, going till 1-2pm(for lunch I'm assuming) then going right back to it. There are also tons of parents giving their kids rids around in a circle.

All in all, its a nice spot…Its not real camping like I'd prefer to do but it works. Maybe a different weekend will be better, with far less noise.
