East-facing rock formations catch the morning sun here, while open plains stretch to the west for wide evening light. This free dispersed site on BLM land sits lower in elevation than nearby Bryce Canyon, running roughly 10 degrees warmer in April, which extends the usable camping season. The access road is smooth enough for lower-clearance vehicles. Cell service is available, and campfires are permitted. Campers wanting a developed alternative can look at Losee Canyon, about a tenth of a mile west, or browse campgrounds around Panguitch for more options in the region.
