Great Site! Peaceful and great cell service.

We saw that casto Canyon had some great sites so we drove out and sure enough there are lots of places to pull off the road. This particular one is nice because it goes pretty far back off the main road offering a little more privacy. And there was already a campfire ring.

On Google maps it shows a couple of RVs parked here so it's plenty big enough for that. Fairly flat as well

This is a big off-road area but so far we've only seen a handful of people drive by.

Some ants around but not bothering us.

As soon as I opened up the car door I could smell the pine and cedar.

And through the trees you can see the red limestone mountains in the distance.

Totally would camp here again.

37.74625, -112.34169 Beautiful, each campsite secluded, ours had a fire pit

i read that toms spring is closed on another site, and red canyon only has a couple sites so decided to come here since lots of sites along 12 miles of blm land! super easy to find a spot. just drive up the road til you find a dirt area that is available! we got lucky and found one with a fire pit made from rocks within the first mile or two. we played music and danced til 4 in the morning but nobody could see or hear us because the campsites are located so far from each other along the road. we went past 3 or 4 areas w campers before we found ours. we arrived late around 11:45pm. lots of stars out! was SO beautiful to wake up there in the morning! trees, seclusion, rock walls, quiet. lots of ppl did drive by in the morning to leave so if you are in a spot where you are camping somewhat close to the road, maybe bring ear plugs to pop in in the AM if you are sleeping there late. or park further off toward the other side of the spot away from the road. perfect spot! definitely stay here! ground was firm and easy for our van to travel on at least can say for the first few miles was. idk bout past that since didnt go that far.

Secluded and beautiful

Had this little hill all to myself. Had to help beef up the fire ring a little bit as it was pretty small. It was pretty windy since a storm pulled in while I was there. Not too bad of a drive but depen ding on how much rain the area gets I could see it being a little more difficult for 2wd and trailers. I only saw about 3 spots on the hill but there may be more further where the roads collide.

Quiet with beautiful view

The road in is a little bumpy, but worth it. Great views of Casto Canyon and easy access to the trail. Plenty of spots along Casto Canyon Road. There’s a little snow left, but nothing crazy. We only saw two other cars around
