Judith Landing

Along the Missouri River in central Montana, Judith Landing provides both drive-in and boat-in access through Bureau of Land Management territory. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, featuring vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables spread across open terrain near the riverbank.

Campers arrive via gravel roads to find dumpster service and clean facilities, though no potable water is available on-site. The boat launch sits roughly three-tenths of a mile downstream from the main camping area, requiring paddlers to plan accordingly for canoe access. A Lewis and Clark historical marker from their 1805 expedition stands a few hundred feet from the visitor station. Note that pets are not permitted at this location.

Great campsite along the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument

Nice campground with lots of room. Very clean Vault Toilet. Fire rings and picnic tables available. One downside is that their is not a good location to land a canoe at the campground, need to use the boat launch 2-3 tenths of a mile further down river. No water available. dumpsters are available.

Lewis and Clark's May 28, 1805 marker is a few hundred feet from the Visitor Assistant station.
