Great Overnight Spot

A parking lot with 20 electric hook-up sites in a municipal setting.  There's a dog park, a playground for kids or a picnic.  Dump station and water available plus several dumpsters.

The only downside is the trains that run all hours and blow horns as they pass the intersection right outside the park.

We were in a camper van and would stay there again.

One night perfection

Perfect for an overnight stop., on the way to somewhere else. Spots are easy pull through, all paved, but does have some issues if it's rained recently with puddles. Has a dog park, water and dump. Sites are all the same with Handicap accessible areas to dog park and around camping plug-in sites. bathrooms are cinderblock, building construction with plunged toilet and sink, no shower.

Sitenot numbered that we saw

perfect overnight location

FREE!! With power, dump/fill station!! Great little park off the beaten path. Trains do come right past here at all hours so it can get loud but it’s free, clean and besides those trains pretty quiet.

Thank you City of Dumas!

Texoma Park is just what we needed.

Pulled in, filled the fresh tank, dumped the others and found a parking spot for the night.

Excellent electric hook ups (although it appears there's one station out of service).

Playgrounds and picnic areas, dog park.

Yes, there's a train that ran up till about 10pm and returned at 3:30 am.

As a parking lot it got seriously hot before sun down but cooled off nicely over night (late June).

We would definitely stay again.

Great FREE campsite!

This municipal Texhoma Park Campground is FREE. The sites are essential in a parking lot and have electrical hookups only. These sites do fill up quickly so get in and setup before the late afternoon or early evening. There is a spot to fill your water tank and along with a dump station near the playground. There is a bathhouse with toilets only and no shower. The playground is decent sized and slightly dated but there is a separate dog park area so you don't need to worry about stepping in poop. We would recommend making this a stop on your road trip.

Simple, but effective

Simple - nothing fancy. Seems like the trash dumpsters were in need of being emptied. This place will meet the need of giving you a place to lay your head at night (in your RV) - but not too much else.

Still the best value

Yes, this is just a parking lot with electric hook-ups. There is also water available (not at sites) and a dump station, and a playground. We have always met friendly fellow travelers here. It is better to get here in early afternoon to get a better site. It can get very crowded when full, almost overlapping slide-outs. So we try to get an "outside" site to avoid having such close neighbors.

Great FREE overnight RV camping with electric!

This is a city park just outside of the center of town and highway. Its really a gravel parking lot with around 20 spots to park with electric hookups (20, 30, and 50 amp) that allows FREE camping for 24 hours. There is a dumpster, dump station, and potable water fill up. Bathrooms but no showers (bathrooms were older and not the nicest).

This place fills up so it's suggested you get the earlier in the day if possible. We arrived at 7:45 pm on a Saturday and got the last spot. There is a train nearby which went off several times before 11 when it stopped all together. Some traffic noise but all in all you can beat free with electric especially in the Texas heat

Free for the night

Has electric hookups, potable water, dump station and a play ground all free. One night only stay limit but it's an easy in and out. Trains going through all night and we smelled the cattle yards.
