Went here with the kids and my brother in law and his family. Was able to get 2 spots side by side right by the water park.
Kids loved every minute of our stay! Had plenty of things to keep them busy! Will be back soon!
We were at Mill Pond site #64. Right on the water, it was really beautiful. I’d heard after heavy rains this campsite goes underwater.. something to keep an eye on. We didn’t have a kayak when we were camping but were able to rent one nearby and had a blast on the water. Didn’t see any gators…

This point is first come first serve, find any spot you like. Primitive camping. Restrooms have recently been torn down and are going to be rebuilt. It's a great spot for Kayaking and other water sports, or just relaxing in the water. Also, a great place to watch 4th of July fire works show put on…
Walleye Park is a comfortable and lovely park in Mt. Vernon on Lake Cypress Springs - one of the most beautiful lakes in Texas. The sites border the edges of a peninsula so every site has water access and share a dock with the neighboring site. Some are on open water and some in a cove. The…
I stopped at Daingerfield State Park on my way to Arkansas... I got there after dark and left around 9am so I wasn’t able to enjoy the park but it was beautiful with all the fall colors. I was at cedar ridge site 51. It was a Wednesday night so there were only 3 other sites being used in that area.…
Pros: There is only one site right next to it... I don’t like being cramped between two sites
Trees for hammocks
Site is right on the water. I don’t kayak but I think you could easily get in the water from the site.
Lots of history at this park and some short, beautiful trails
We were the only ones crazy enough to go in December but it was great! Beautiful views and great fishing and were able to cook out and go geocaching.

Sites are perfectly level and concrete. Sites toward the front seem pretty close together, but sites further from the road are spread out more. Lots of permanent residents who seem to take pride in keeping their sites nice. The pool is tiny, but well maintained. Bathrooms are nice. While not…
The park was small, but nice. We loved waking up to see a pasture full of cows behind us. The manager was very polite. I would stay here again.
Nice access to the lake. Campground hosts are very helpful, gate is locked at night so keep the email with the code if you want in late or out early. We got caught in a pop-up shower with the rain fly off lol but then again, that’s camping.
Very good cross country mountain bike trails and hiking trails around the lake. You will need a mountain bike to ride the trails due to the roots.

The rv spots were comfortable and well spaced. It gets busy on weekends but is quiet and secluded during the week.

Nice, well maintained park with the usual amenities. Very nice staff and a cool little store at the entrance. Just around the corner from the Kiepersol Winery and restaurant. Great central location for visiting Tyler, Canton, Lindale, Gladewater and more.
We loved fishing and hiking throughout the park but our kids loved the double bunks in our cabin. The campsite was great, right off the water and a well placed fire pit. We will definitely be back.

On our first trip to Arkansas, enjoyed our stay here. Stayed a couple of days acclimating 2 dogs to life in a rig. We experienced an issue with some equipment and the manager stepped in quickly and was able to provide a solution. Everyone we met there was very friendly and we loved sitting outside…
