Great place

This place has many leveled sites and plenty of amenities. Our family enjoyed the stay here. Our pull through site was paved with a picnic table. There is an area for dogs and a park for kids, both things we enjoyed. We all liked that it was minutes from Cadillac Ranch, which was also fun! Would…

Great mix of few paid sites & mostly Boondocking sites

Firstly. Data is only on top of hill sites. Most of our providers worked for voice, even Cricket & ATT. Visible could do 5 meg. With positioned antenna, I managed to double this for Visible. Verizon proper was 80 meg. T-Mobile 5G hotspot not exactly a screamer.

Has dump station and fresh…

My new paragon

I was impressed. Going forward, this will be the paragon that I use to evaluate other campgrounds.

Overnight Stay

Pulled in without a reservation for a one night stay. All pull-thru lots were booked. They allowed us to stay in a back-in monthly rental. Site has mostly long term RVs. Lots are gravel but really level. Have ok cell service. They offer wifi but it is not the best. Famous Big Texan does deliver…

Great Overnight Stop

This is a great campground with pull through and back in sites. It's not the most luxurious campground, but good enough for an overnight. The staff is prompt and courteous. Easy access to I40 and Amarillo.

Tent site on rim

Check with park before booking. Park was closed due to a marathon inside the gate (my fault for not checking), but I could walk the zip line road at the campground for great views and the horse rides just down the road provided a cool experience. Sites are just open lawn type. Get there early if…

Very nice campground

I only spent one night at this campground but could tell that it is a great spot. It’s a little bit hard to find but once you do it is an oasis. Everything is kept up to date and clean and the Wi-Fi was one of the fastest that I’ve encountered. I highly recommend this KOA for anyone passing through…

Very clean and convenient. We were able to call after the online reservations were closed to get a tent spot. They had an overnight reservation box with everything we needed since we arrived after office hours. Made the process super easy.

Me and two friends stayed here for a night on our road trip out west. We had no idea what to expect and after driving for hours through flat farmland, we were shocked to see the beauty and the scale of the lake. The sites are right on the cliff sides, offering stunning views, especially at sunset.…

Nice, friendly, convienent

Big Texan was easy to get into and out of.  Staff is very friendly and helpful to find and land in your site.  Lots of pull throughs.  Do not miss the Bix Texan steakhouse just down the road, with dropoff and pickup service from the RV park.  It is a Texas tradition.

It’s okay

This was a one night stop for us. Which this seems like a decent one nighter park, wouldn’t stay longer than that.

Pros: -Concrete (level) Pads -Full Hook ups -Easy access from interstate

Cons: -It’s like a parking lot -Bathrooms/trash/dog park are all a really long walk unless you happen to be…
