Wind point park is one of my favorite parks in North texas. Inhave been going here since I was a kid. I now take my kids to this park. It still has the same family feel as always.

Loyd Park is a wonderful destination for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy the natural beauty of Texas.  I highly recommend a visit to Loyd Park for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing camping experience. You should go there territorial io. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is unbeatable.

This is more like being at a day park where you'd find playground equipment (except there isn't any). If you have kids and are just looking for an easy day out on the lake, this is great. If you want something a little wilder, definitely skip this area and head somewhere else.

I only went there because I had a family member camping there and I was going down to Canton flea market. It is a small campground. I didn't like it. There ain't many trees or camping spots. It did have a boat ramp. The bathrooms needed attention. There wasn't a daily access fee. People were not friendly.

Nothing to knock you socks off, but it’s a great campsite close to home and nice for a quick getaway. Has the feel of being somewhat remote since it’s out by the lake.

We’ve camped in the site with the horse stables and put the tents with questionable rain flys in the horse stable.

This park is a nice local place to visit. It has full hookups and the sites are extremely distanced from one another which is great. The main thing to do here is to boat or fish, however the platforms are extremely in disrepair - literally falling into the lake (see photo of us trying to load the kids into kayak from the submerged platform).  The ones we saw were actually dangerous.  Every single site has a unique view of the lake, even those high up on the circular arrangement. Our site was very unlevel on the hill, so bring your chocks. It rained and rained while we were there, but we still had  a nice time with the grandkids. And it's close enough to Dallas to make a reasonable place to stay. There are zero amenities there - the playground mentioned in ads no longer exists.

Wide open spaces and beautiful lake views. The sites are far apart and lots of green space. Pavement is old and a little rough, but workable. The park host is extremely nice and helpful.

Doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles but does have sewer, lake views, wide open spaces, and clean! Great food places nearby. Only drawbacks are I level sites and front gates don’t open til 10am every morning so can’t get back in if you go get breakfast.

This is very popular RV Resort near Terrell, Tx. Do your reservation early or you may not get in! This is convenient to the Dallas/Ft Worth areas as well as Canton first Monday trade days and TX

Have about 10 concrete pads, the rest are level gravel. Blacktop roads, tennis/pickle ball court, small fishing lake, laundry, pool and tiny houses.

Excellent park. Full service. Level sites, many concrete, club house is nice. Propane available. Big rigs ok. Just outside DFW area.

Stayed here 5 nights waiting for our property to be ready. Called into the office like we have every morning and was told"sorry you have to leave we reserved your spot." ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!!! Who does this??? No notice, didn't say anything all week. But sure took our money! Poop all over the grass. The dog park is nasty! They give you all the rules, very strick. LOUD, the highway is right here. Unprofessional!!!!! Never again!!!!!

We planned on staying a week waiting for our home to be built and three weeks of delays later we are 100% enjoying our stay. The owners/management have been wonderful and accommodating and the park is BEAUTIFUL.

We spent one night at Bluebonnet Ridge last fall on a trip to Phoenix. It appears to be more for long term RVers, but it was convenient to the interstate and a good place to stop before hitting Dallas. The site was level, but muddy, and they were very close together. Water and electric and sewer at all sites. There is a nice store and a pool which was not open when we were there.

We RV so finding a place with full hookups at each site was mind blowing! We were a bit close to our neighbors so if you’re looking for a site where you’re isolated, this is not the place for you.

We were on the lake so enjoyed spectacular sunsets every night. Lots of work is being done on the park right now, can’t wait to go back and see the improvements.

I've been coming to this park since I was 12 or 13 years old and we would tent camp. The only things to do is fish and go swimming and the play ground is kind of sad. I came camping in 2009 when I got back from Iraq and it was very well maintained then either, just leaves piled up so high mosquitos and various other pests loved it. We brought our camper out this weekend after reading reviews and hearing about how updated it is and how great it is but it's still the same park it's always been. There was literally a camper across from us being stabilized with cinder blocks... we have a three year old and took him to the park to burn some energy and were quite disappointed (as well as our son). The equipment was the same equipment from when I was a kid and there's really not much more than swings, a slide, merry go round, and a see-saw type thing. We paid over $90 for three nights and ended up leaving a day before because there was just nothing to do. There was also someone walking around our camper the first night and I'm still not sure who it was 😲. We had a tree in the worst part of our site, we couldn't let our awning out hardly. If we moved up a little bit we couldn't use out outdoor kitchen, if we a lot we'd be lucky to use our connections. We ended up in one of the only spots that didn't have some kind of asphalt and it had been raining for two days, that was a load of fun also because the mud was thick and there were two mini lakes around us. The campsites at the state park we're further away then here and I would have preferred some distance to our "neighbors". The gentleman who led us to our site was polite at least and they did spray for ants around our camper. However, I doubt we'll go back unless they make some better changes.

So this is an ok place to spend a night or two. With Passport America, the price is right. The Tin Cup is a restaurant that's owned by the park and the food is great. The downside is that there's live music on Saturdays. It's loud enough to be annoying but not loud enough to enjoy. It was still playing after 10:30 pm. Not good when you need to get up early in the morning.

Right off I-30, usually has spots available, very friendly people. All sites are pull-through. Tavern right next door—didn’t have time to check it out but it’s a short walk. Twinkle lights added charm to entryway to park, and we were visited by a duck from the nearby pond!
