Great park

Very peaceful and scenic! Our site 026 view faced the lake. Many deer came thru our camp each evening.

First day sad day

My first time there. I witnessed a young boy being pulled out by another young boy for drowning. Didn’t want my kids to see what was happening so I left. Would definitely camp there though.

A favorite

Very friendly staff. They guide you to your campsite and help you back in.
Tubes to rent. Awesome huge trees in a lot of the park. Nice group shelter for rent.
Right on the river, great floating.

Great place to stay

We liked that it was a huge campground and there was enough space to park. The other campgrounds we passed along the road were extremely packed. There is a small convenience store on site and you can rent tubes as well. The host dances on the weekends.

The park is nice , access to river to relax and cool off. 80 percent of the park is residents the only spots available for weekends is in direct sun. If you want a fire you need to rent a fire ring and buy the wood from them. The staff was not real friendly. There’re was only one young lady there…

Nice getaway

A nice, clean place for the weekend. It does get very pack, but the overflow is good size for boondocking. Good place for party goer's, not much for people with kids. If you have a huge camper I would use caution. The roads getting in and out of the place have restrictions and the trees hang very…

Nice little getaway

Pace bend is a great little spot if you’re wanting to get out of the city for the weekend. Full of hiking, fishing, cliff jumping (at your own risk), and kayaking. They have reserved sites and first come first serve.

Beautiful, peaceful, close to Austin

This is a beautiful and huge camp ground with lots of nature to admire. The camp sites are spacious and feel very private, yet you don't feel alone with other campers nearby you. We had a stunning full hook up camp site with a climbable tree and took a hike to the waterfalls! There's lots of hiking…

Great biking!

This park is a great stop if you are on your way from Houston to Austin.  It's actually connected to Bastrop State Park by an 11 mile road that is mostly used for cycling.  And that's exactly what we did!  There was very little road traffic and the views were great!  There are also several scenic…

My Second Time At Pedernales Falls & The Best Yet!!

I camped at Pedernales Falls back in November of 2020. The river was running low, but it was still a great visit. However, I camped again this year in June and the water was running at 70% above normal. It was great for viewing the river, swimming and taking photos. Again, the rangers and staff…

Good park, no easy river access

Great for water, electric connections. The park is just a mix of tourists and regular tenants. Kinda junkyard feel at first. They do have friendly check in staff as well as tiny hut at checkin that is a makeshift store aswell. The bathrooms have potential but were not cleaned or stocked with any…

Ok for our pop up, skeeterville at night

We arrived late Friday evening after hours. The gates are still open but overwhelming with skeeters everywhere. All sites were overgrown with tall grass/weeds. Walmart/ HEB grocery just under 9 miles away. Bathrooms had toilet paper and free hot showers. The lake ramp is perfect for paddle boat…

Nice park and well maintained trails

We stayed in Bastorp state park in our little teardrop trailer. The folks at the check-in point were very friendly and helpful. The campsite we had full hookups and was well shaded. We spent two days there and took several long hikes. We really enjoyed the changes in elevation, terrain and views.…
