The Home Depot — Thompson Lane

RV travelers seeking overnight parking in Nashville's retail district can stop at this Home Depot location on Thompson Lane. The store operates as a standard big-box retailer with a large asphalt parking lot that accommodates self-contained recreational vehicles.

Campers use this as a convenient staging point for exploring campgrounds around Nashville or accessing the city's attractions. The location sits along a busy commercial corridor with typical urban noise levels and lighting. RVers should confirm current overnight policies with store management before settling in for the night.

Adequate but loud

There are not many free parking options near central Nashville so we gave this a try last night. It was loud and there was a mobile surveillance camera with a loud speaker that said “for the safety of shoppers no loitering in the parking lot” every 30 minutes or so. Nobody bugged us though. I asked the staff if it was ok and they said as long as you park at the far end of the lot away from the building and leave by 6am they allow it.

Sitefar end of lot by entrance.
