ABOUT THE SCANDINAVIAN CABIN

The Scandanavian Cabin at The Getaway On Ranger Creek is a stylish and contemporary one-room wood cabin, situated in a shaded area within our 18-acre wooded property. It faces the woods for privacy, and features 230sqft of inside space, plus another 150sqft of covered outside deck space.

The Cabin was imported from Europe, and built on-site from high-quality and renewable Nordic Spruce. All of the timber is ethically harvested, and the lumber company plants at least 3 new trees for every tree they harvest.

The inside has a space heater/air conditioner and features a queen sized bed with memory foam mattress, unique and warm lighting, bedside tables with lamps and USB charging ports, a dresser, a relaxing couch, a comfortable chair, a wheeled storage island (for kitchen supplies), and a small selection of books and games. An oscillating fan is also included. Although a space heater/air conditioner is provided, the cabin is not insulated and therefore may not be as warm or cool as is typical.

Outside on the covered deck, you___ll find two comfortable rocking chairs with a small table, a 2-person dining table, a small refrigerator, and a foot-pump-operated 5 gallon sink (water refills upon request). All utensils for cooking on the grill and for eating, plates, and bowls, are provided.

Management at The Getaway on Ranger Creek will provide enough dinnerware and utensils for your stay, and when you check-out, you do not have to worry about washing dishes or utensils!

Beautiful Edison-style string lights cast a warm glow on the outside areas.

Down the stairs to the private woods-side of the cabin is a private area with a nice fire pit (firewood is included or you can forage the nearby woods for branches and wood to burn). A provided propane grill will serve as a great way to cook your meals.

Guests of the Cabin have 24-hour access to the Bathhouse. The Bathhouse is a leisurely 43-second walk from the cabin, and includes two fully-appointed and private single-person bathroom/showers. Towels are provided for all guests. The Bathhouse also features a fully-appointed coffee bar, with both traditionally-brewed coffee and Keurig coffee in multiple varieties, and hot chocolate.

The location of the Cabin also allows guests to take a very short walk to the pond, where you can enjoy watching the friendly Muscovy ducks. Guests are welcome to explore our 18-acre wooded property, including several trails, a woodland pond, peaceful areas to sit and relax, 2 creeks which border the property, and a small stream.

We have an EV Level 1 charger available upon request at no charge

The Cabin also features good reception from our free high-speed guest Wifi (usually over 50Mbps). Additionally, Verizon and AT&T have good reception in and around the cabin.

The Getaway on Ranger Creek is a unique 18 acre property in the heart of the South Cumberland Mountains, close to the fabulous new Coalmont OHV Park, Fast Farms MotorX, Greeter Falls, Foster Falls, and many other parks and recreation areas..

We have parking accommodations for truck and trailer, and a unique variety of units for you to stay and relax.

The property owners/managers live on-site. While they will be available for quick resolution of any of your needs or for any maintenance issues, they are not always physically on-site. They always strive to provide you with privacy and relaxation, so you___ll rarely see them, unless you need them!

Outside areas of our property are insecticide- and herbicide-free. However, our small flock of friendly Muscovy Ducks and a variety of chickens work very hard to keep the mosquito and tick levels to a minimum. You___ll be amazed at just how few mosquitoes you___ll encounter, especially considering that the property is in the Tennessee woods! Guests should note that our ducks and chickens are very friendly and may hang out in your general area if you are outside. They are completely harmless, and even enjoy eating your food leftovers if you offer them!

Have you ever imagined yourself lounging in a stylish glamping tent tucked in the woods with a deer wandering by? Or maybe a stay in a crisp Scandinavian style cabin, nestled in the woods, with a large covered deck. And, coming soon, you___ll be able to spend a night in a teardrop style camper, with a huge covered deck for outdoor enjoyment.

All units offer privacy. The Dome overlooks our pond, and all other units are nestled in their own areas of the woods. The Dome is fully self-sufficient. All other units include electric, a fire pit, a propane grill, a small refrigerator, and a foot-pump sink with 5 gallons of fresh water (can be refilled upon request).

For guests staying in the glamping tent, cabin, or camper, we have a lovely bathhouse close by with two fully-appointed and private bathroom\showers. Towels are provided for all guests.

The Getaway on Ranger Creek offers free high-speed guest Wifi (usually over 75Mbps) throughout most of the property. Additionally, Verizon and AT&T have very good reception in most areas.

We are 11 miles from the Coalmont OHV Park, 11 miles from Fast Farms Motorcross, 19 miles from The Caverns concert venue, 7 miles from Greeter Falls, 13 miles to the Savage Gulf State Park, 12 miles to Laurel Falls, and 15 miles to the South Cumberland State Park. Waterfalls, towering sandstone cliffs, rock climbing, renowned hiking trails, kayaking, an incredible world of nature's bounty! We are only about an hour___s drive to Falls Creek Falls State Park, the amazing city of Chattanooga, and the beautiful Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro.
