Savage Gulf South - Backcountry Camp

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Savage Gulf South sits at the edge of the South Cumberland plateau, accessed by a half-mile walk from the parking lot into Savage Gulf State Park. Five sites are spread with considerable space between them, and the area includes an overlook and a short rock-scrambling route to a waterfall roughly a third of a mile in. Drinking water, toilets, and cell service are available on-site, and pets are welcome with reservations. Campers who want a drive-in option can look at Stone Door Campground as an alternative within the same park system.
