Mountains Trip

This place was great! Some sites are uneven but if you are a good camper it should not be a problem. Lots of room. Good hiking trails. Our sites had full hookups. Tara at the store was Amazing!!!

Terrible

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I contacted Sasquatch Farm on August 26th. Their website did not list Pop Up from their menu when making a reservation. I told them I had a pop up and wanted to stay for a month starting Oct 19th. I was told yes, I could stay, just choose RV from the drop down menu. I made my reservation and paid my deposit. 7 weeks later when I arrived after driving over 9 hours to get there, I was told I could not stay. The temperature was going to drop at night and they said they would not have bathrooms available for me to use. They said their bathrooms were in movable trailers and the pipes may freeze. I was shocked. I now had nowhere to live for the next month. I was told I could stay a day while I looked up another place to go. However, there was no phone reception for me to look up a place and I couldn't just stand there making that decision quickly. Plus I had just been told there were no available bathrooms. I had to drive to a hotel and stay for a few days to work things out. It is hard to find a place to stay this time of year. Thinking I was staying there for a month, I had bought supplies I needed that will now be delivered to a state I am no longer in. It has cost me an extra$800 to live this month. I have yet to receive an apology from the owner. They say that they accommodate all sizes from tents to big rigs. However if you do not have an expensive rig, I suggest you avoid this place. I belong to several camping groups on Facebook and I have already warned them of this place. I have looked at their website and see that they have changed their Reservation set up to include pop up/camper vans and they now warn that the bathrooms may not always be available. Luckily I had only put the$100 deposit down and thankfully I did get it returned to me. I would also like to add that I have seen other complaints about the large rocks in the driveway. I will say they were very large and I was afraid one of my tires would get punctured as I left.

Like the review you left on google? Copy and paste. Fake News!! Your expectations are completely un realistic . You can’t live in a tent in the Freezing weather. I do not fell we should have to pay for heating a tent? As. Power is included in our price you claim you would use propane however that would be double the rent to heat. In freezing temps? How would that work. If you were so put out by the hotel bill? Why would. You have went to a hotel when there are Walmarts to stay if you where going to use propane?

YOU HAVE NO BATH ROOM! To stay monthly you have to be self contained. Sorry that you think people owe you something.. Complete BS! 2 months ago we added. Sand aggregate to the to of the rocks, you are just bitter. I am so glad it worked out this way ,We have the right to refuse any customer.

Very nice

Very nice with gorgeous views and fun little hiking trails. Restrooms were nice with hot hot showers. Tent sites very rocky and not even at all but it is a new place so hopefully they’ll clear and level it out

Stunning!

This property is incredible. It sits on a mountain surrounded by trees, trails, waterfalls and wonderful views. They have a store that has many of the things you may need. They don’t yet have sewer on site (they have a dump station) but it’s on the way! They really built something awesome here and you should definitely visit!

Work In Progress

Campground is new and work in progress. Sites currently only have electric and water with sewer in the works, there is a dump station on site, however it didn’t have water to rinse hose out with after using. Sites are currently grass and needed cut when we camped. They have a beautiful store with anything you would need along with a music stage. Nice trails that lead to a couple of waterfalls and a beautiful bluff view. Once sewer and sites are finished this campground will easily be a five star location. O they also have off the grid tent sites and a man made lake with a couple of kayaks.

Integrity Issue

On 21 April, I booked a 3-Night stay for Memorial Day Weekend at Sasquatch Farms. I called their desk and inquired about this new campground. The price was two to three times a normal campground with only water and electric. She told me that the slots are huge and we would feel like we are camping alone. I asked about cancellations, and she told me that would give me a refund if needed. She also told me about the trails and waterfalls. Their website shows very nice camping slots.
On 28 May, we arrived at the campground about lunchtime. I knew the campground was new, but I did not expect it would look like the initial stages of a construction site. The campground road was covered in very large gravel and the slots were mud and sparse grass. I would only describe my slot as a mud pit. The young man offered me other slots, but they were not much better. The slots were muddy and unleveled. After walking on their gravel road, I felt the gravel size was unsafe to walk on for my wife and two tiny dogs for daily leisurely walks. The campground did not resemble their website and seemed hazardous to small animals and elderly, especially during limited visibility and wet weather. We called the front desk, and the office said they would refund our money. We took them at their word. We received a cancellation confirmation that stated if due, a refund would be issued in 5-10 days. On 7 June, we called their office to inquire about the status of the refund and they told us that we are not getting a full refund and hung up on us.

We were charged the full 3 night stay.

Awesome spot!

So glad this was my first experience in my RV. The owners here were so helpful and gave us some great tips on our RV and were super accommodating. The first site we entered got a bit muddy after a few days of rain and they brought in a truckload of gravel and spread it out to keep the mud at bay.

In search of Sasquatch!!!

We went on opening weekend. So it is not completed. The sewers weren't in, the showers aren't completed and some of the sites were very good. But with that being said the staff is wonderful they provided wood and ice. They also have some very very creative ideas. There are two dump stations. We feel this place is going to be awesome when they get through and the work was being done while we were there. There are many hiking trails on this mountain in South Pittsburg as well as a waterfall and very beautiful views. They also had awesome internet service!
