Part of South Dakota State Parks & Recreation's Lewis And Clark Recreation Area, West Midway operates year-round on Homme Lake with both drive-in and boat-in access. The campground sits on open terrain and provides full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections for RVs, plus drinking water, restrooms, showers, and a dump station. Campers can make reservations and bring pets. The location serves as a base for exploring campgrounds around Lewis And Clark Recreation Area, with Cottonwood Campground just a tenth of a mile away. Campfires are permitted throughout the grounds.
Description
Open: Year-round. Between Oct. 1 and April 30, showers, flush toilets and other water systems may be closed. Please contact the park directly for current status. Vault toilets usually remain open.
Park Size: 418 campsites, 19 camping cabins and 1 tent-only site. Same-day reservations: 107 sites. Call 1.800.710.2267 starting at 7 a.m. CT the day you wish to camp.
