Plenty of Pavement @ This Big Blue Box Retailer

Pulling into this Walmart Supercenter in Summerville felt like finding a dependable roadside home base after a long day of driving, with a large, mostly level parking lot that’s EZ to navigate even with a big rig, plenty of well-placed lighting that helped us feel safe settling in for the night with straightforward access from the nearby highways that meant we weren’t circling around trying to find a place to park. Inside, you’ve got everything a traveling family might need right at your fingertips with clean restrooms, groceries, snacks, emergency supplies and even gas stations nearby. Once the evening hustle slowed down the lot quieted nicely, making the space feel comfortable and calm for an overnight stay. One of my favorite memories here was grabbing dinner at the Kickin’ Chicken just down the street, which was a great family-friendly restaurant, then letting the boys stretch their legs and giggle as they raced toward the edge of the lot chasing some random squirrels. We’d recommend this Walmart stop for families because of the EZ access from I26, reliable amenities on site and nearby and the ability to find a quieter space in the lot on the eastern most side where you can rest easily before continuing on your journey.
