Sumter National Forest's Woods Ferry Campground sits within the George Washington and Lincoln district of Sumter National Forest, managed by the US Forest Service and open seasonally from April 1 through October 31. Water availability has been an issue at this site, so campers should plan to bring their own supply. The campground draws visitors who prioritize low-traffic, low-noise sites over amenities. Collins Creek Seasonal Camp sits roughly 4.8 miles northeast and may offer additional infrastructure for those who need it.
