About

Located in South Carolina Upcountry and mere minutes from the beloved Gaffney Peachoid, Spacious Skies Peach Haven is your sweet retreat, nestled among picturesque farmland and rolling green hills.

Our campground offers full hook-up RV sites as well as water and electric only sites. We are big rig friendly and have an array of pristine paved sites that include a stone fire ring, grill, and dining table with chairs. If shaded sites are your preference, we have sites tucked into a piney grove too! We also have cabins that are available in a variety of sizes and with differing amenities, ensuring we have the perfect spot that meets each family or group’s needs.

Enjoy the peaceful, bucolic surroundings by hiking the nearby trails or fishing in one of our ponds. If you are looking for more action, there is plenty of fun to be had with a pool, mini golf course, jumping pillow, rec hall, and more to explore! We didn’t forget your furry friends either. Our cabins are all pet-friendly and two dog parks allow your pup to have some fun and burn off some energy. A well-stocked camp store, 24-hour laundry facility, and WiFi provide some of the comforts of home while you embrace the great outdoors.

If you’re looking to use your site as a home base while you explore the area, Gaffney and nearby Spartanburg offer plenty of destinations, and our campground is conveniently located just minutes of I-85. From historical sites to local art and nature attractions, there is so much to experience while you’re here!

We are proud to announce our partnership with Black Folks Camp Too and are now the first “unity blaze certified” collection of private campgrounds!

Being Unity Blaze Certified confirms that all 15 of our campgrounds and our team are committed to making sure all campers know “You are Invited and Welcomed” — the Unity Blaze motto. While Spacious Skies has always firmly held this belief, we wanted to go one step further in partnering with BFCT to make sure all campground staff completed the Unity Blaze training program.

Overpriced Campground

They are no longer part of KOA so they don't off any discount for the sky high rates. We paid $75 a night and decided that we will stay due to the amenities they offer for our family. We were originally told we would pay $750 a month for a site, which is higher that anyone one in there area, but decided we would pay because of the amenities. We we arrive and get ready to set up they decide that they will now charge us $1200 a month plus electricity because they put us in a site that was not large enough for our unit. There are no amenities that make that price okay to pay.

Nice campground, lots of amenities.

Overall, this is a very nice, clean park conveniently located to the interstate I-85) and attractions in the area. It has all the amenities you would expect to find at a KOA such as a swimming pool, playground, dog park, miniature golf, store, clubhouse, and more (including goats). It is by far the nicest private campground in the area that we have stayed at.

This KOA has 127 sites offering varying degrees of services to accommodate RV's, tents, and those wanting to rent cabins. We chose a 50-amp full hook-up back-in site but were upgraded to a pull-thru so we could be in a sunny location to mitigate the chilly air. How nice of them! Our site (#79) was perfectly level as were most others (but not all). Water, electric, and cable hook-ups were well placed at the site and worked fine. We paid $37/night(with the KOA member discount). Nice, large grassy area for dogs to walk and sniff and there is a decent size dog park.  Roads and pads are hard packed gravel with grass in between sites. Some sites are set in a wooded area while some are out in the open with plenty of sun and satellite coverage. The park is big rig friendly and the roads are easily navigable. All sites have a picnic table and some had fire pits but ours did not. Cable is included and offered over 50 channels. Wifi worked well at our site.  The laundry was small with three washers and three dryers but very clean and had a decent book exchange. The bathroom and showers were super clean and looked like they were updated recently.

The campground is extremely clean and the owners/employees are super friendly. There is a short hiking trail (less than a mile) through the woods and plenty of green space in front of some of the pull-thrus. playground large swimming pool with large deck putt putt with lots of goat humor.

The only downside would be the closeness of sites but that is pretty much what you expect from private RV parks. Fortunately, we did not have neighbors right next to us which gave us more space. I'm usually not a KOA fan but have to say this one was great for our overnight stay and we would recommend it.

Directions

Spartanburg NE/ Gaffney KOA is off of Exit 87, and we are located about a mile from I-85. If you are traveling on I-85 going North, you will get off at the exit 87 ramp. You will come to a 4-way stop. You will go straight like you are getting back on I-85, but there will be the frontage road on your right. Get on the frontage road, (Overbrook Dr.) and go for about 3/4 of a mile. There will be a big yellow sign that says, "Hey Kampers" with a big arrow pointing down Sarratt School Road. Turn right on Sarratt School Road, and we are on the right about .5 miles down that road.
