Rough road access and limited amenities define the experience at Poulous Loop Seasonal Camp, a USDA Forest Service site set in forested terrain near a river outside Union, South Carolina. The campground has vault toilets and trash service but no water on-site, so campers need to arrive with a full supply. Cell service is noted as available. As of mid-2019, the site appeared closed and the nightly fee had risen to $30, so confirming current status with the Forest Service before making the trip is strongly advised. Campers wanting a more developed alternative can look at Woods Ferry Campground (Sc) — Francis Marion And Sumter National Forests to the south, or browse places to camp near Union for additional options in the region.
