Salem Campground and RVs

Highway noise from Interstate 5 reaches this private campground, located 100 feet from the busy roadway according to reviewers. Salem Campground and RVs accommodates RVs up to 60 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections, plus amenities like WiFi, showers, and a dump station available for $10 to non-guests.

The forested setting near a lake provides some natural screening, though several campers note the constant traffic sounds. Long-term residents occupy many sites year-round, creating a more residential atmosphere than typical vacation camping. One reviewer appreciated the cleanliness improvements over recent years, though shower facilities close early in the evening before many working campers return.

"Only had a night to stay here but it was nice and relaxing very peaceful," notes Kelli D., suggesting the noise level varies by individual tolerance. The location offers practical advantages including nearby Home Depot and other stores within half a block for last-minute supplies.

Rates start around $26 per night for up to two people, and vehicle access is required. Campers seeking a quieter forest experience might consider Phoenix RV Park four miles north.

Very nice place to stay

I'veI've lived almost 3 months and from a few years ago till now this place is definitely come a long way so much cleaner and nicer the people are nice to you from the office the only thing I don't like about it is the showers shut up early most people don't get off work before they shut them off anyway I can understand why but still there should be a way to fix that but it's a nice place to stay and I plan on staying for a long time.

Mostly monthly sites there

Close to highway and noisy and most are folks who live there all year round. They do have a dump site available for ten bucks.

Late-Night Final Option

Approximating an older KOA 100 feet off Interstate 5, Salem Campground and RVs could be a step up from sleeping in your car. This is an easy, friendly location and, if you grew up with some highway noise anyway, not a bad selection. The bonus of having a Home Depot and other stores a half block away means you get to buy the last pieces of your home renovation project on your way out. You can't help witnessing/meeting some colorful characters here. This is a more affordable spot - "$26.08 a night for a campsite for up to two people, and you must come in a vehicle," they told me over the phone. Salem Campground and RVs is down-home, especially if your home is on the road.
