Ham Bunch Cherry Creek Park

Ham Bunch Cherry Creek Park sits about 11 miles southwest of Myrtle Point in Oregon's coastal region, managed by the county as a paid campground with electric hookups for RVs. Recent visitor reports from October 2024 indicate the facility appears abandoned and overgrown, with vegetation blocking the entrance road and suggesting extended closure. The park's current operational status remains unclear based on field observations showing significant overgrowth that extends beyond typical seasonal maintenance patterns.

Campers planning trips to this area might consider campsites near Myrtle Point or nearby alternatives like Frona County Park, located less than two miles southeast. Check current access conditions before making the drive.

Looks Abandoned

Visited Oct 1st, 2024 and park looks abandoned and overgrown more than just this summer.     You can see in the pic the entrance (road guard) is overgrown like it's been shut a long time.
