Grew Up Camping There

Spent a lot of time up there tent camping on the weekends. Randy was the camp post. The grounds were always kept clean and improved every week. Great summer spot for steelhead fishing before the state screwed up that also.

Great campground

We really enjoy it there. Just know that there is zero cell service. We didn’t mind, but if you work on the road, you won’t be able to at this site. Our kids love the waterfall and nice swimming hole. The spots and roads are all paved.

This is a great place to stay! My family and I have gone there to camp for over 12 years and we still love it! It is a calm place, and the owner of the place is really nice! wouldn't change it for another camping area.

Very popular spot on weekends!

Great day use and well maintained campground. Campground lacks privacy but nobody seems to mind. Open and grassy. The main attraction is the quarry like swim hole. Good beach, great jumping cliff, Rapids suitable for kids to shoot. Lots of pavement for bikes. Very fun place if you don't mind other people having fun!

Sweet, shade, water

This is a County Park, very nicely maintained, with grassy sites and a nice combination of big trees and open sites. The bonus is the Siletz River that winds along the camp grounds. Shallow in spots, fun for tubing, wading and floating, swimming. Can be crowded especially summer weekends when day users visit. Pay showers, clean flush toilet bathrooms. No hookups. No cell reception. Loved it and will return

Good and clean campsite for groups and families

We have camped at Moonshine with our group of friends for 2 years now.

We loved this campsite because it has a great swimming hole for the kids to swim in, and grassy areas for the kids to throw a football and run around on.

The park is secluded so there is no cell service. You will have to drive to the nearest town to get cell reception.

No store on campground so again, Siletz ia nearby if you need extra ice or drinks.

The only thing we did not like about Moonshine is the coin-operated showers (quarters only). And the showers are only open from 8am to 8pm. We missed the cut-off time one night during summer because it took us longer to clean up after dinner.

Otherwise, the showers and restroom are clean.

If you camp during summer, it's best to bring a canopy because it does get pretty hot at campsite.

The campsite is well-maintained and the camp host is very nice and friendly.
