Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations at Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina fill up fast. Waterfront spots along the Siletz River are the most sought-after, and some campers report booking a full year in advance to secure one. The resort sits just east of campgrounds near Gleneden Beach, with boat-in, drive-in, and walk-in access accommodating a range of setups. RVs up to 58 feet fit here, with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer.

The river is the main draw. Anglers fish from the dock, boat rentals are available on-site, and crabbing packages give families another reason to spend time on the water. River otters have been spotted near the campsites, which tends to delight younger visitors. The layout is open rather than wooded, so campers expecting shade or privacy between sites may want to factor that in. Cell service is inconsistent across the property, noted by more than one reviewer.

The resort includes a store stocked with camping supplies, though at least one reviewer found the prices high. Natasha A. notes the showers were clean and the "water was hot," which is worth knowing for multi-night stays. Cabins are available as an alternative to RV or tent camping. Nearby, Chinook Bend RV Resort and Sunset Landing RV Park offer additional options along the same stretch of river if Coyote Rock is booked out. Pets are welcome, and the staff is described as accommodating by most reviewers.

Zero people skills. Lovely location

This is long, but worth it: The location is great. Right on the water, quiet and cool, spacious sites. 5mph speed limit. Got it. We drove over the speed limit. Completely our fault and we own that. We were looking for our reserved site and not paying attention to the speedometer. Our error.(Keep in mind that we are pulling a travel trailer in a campground so I can’t imagine we were going over 8, but that does not matter one bit). We found our site(that we prepaid and were told to just pull in to) and were about to back in when, suddenly, Mr. Big Wheels came zooming straight for us. My husband rolls down the window(me, expecting him to say something along the lines of oh, our campsite is full and you need to check in first…), and dude quietly yells out‘There is a strict(pause…) 5mph speed limit…Posted all over(long pause, eyes fixed on my husband). My husband says nothing. Mr. Big Wheels just stares. My husband just stares. I then lean over and whisper‘okay.’ He pauses some more, then pedals away(okay so maybe he was in a four-wheeler) and we proceed to set up camp. Time passes. Lady walks up to site and‘jokingly’ says:‘Most people stop by the office when they get here!’ Then she goes on to tell him about the rules and policies and the strict 5mph speed limit(knowingly smiling as she says this part)… Hubby just listens and simply says oh okay, the guy I talked to this morning gave me the site number and said to just pull in. She immediately stops and says oh, he’s new. I’ll have a talk with him tomorrow. Poor guy. Anyway, come stay here, enjoy the beauty and peace, and ignore the rude management, childish behavior, and unwelcoming vibe. Or not. They do not care one single bit about guests anyway. Alternative interaction:“Hi, welcome to our campground. Is this your site, as we are full right now. It is, great. Once you get settled, could you come to the office and we’ll check you in. Also, we do have a strict 5mph speed limit here so just make sure you are keeping it under 5. Thank you.”

Coyote Rock Resort Rocks

This place is heaven on earth, so peaceful and beautiful. There is a great little store for all your camping needs, so many fun things for kids to do, boat rentals, crabbing packages, and the best fishing around.

Very open

We had an okay time at this site. It’s very open, but not unpleasant. They have full hook-ups, cable tv and boat rentals. The cell service wasn’t great. They also have cabins for rent. It’s right on the river and there are cute little otters that like to show off for the guests.

Nice family place

We enjoyed our time right on the river. Enjoyed the young kids playing in the park area and watching them fish off the dock.

Great location but..

They have a good location along the Siletz, but their little store in the office is very overpriced. Nobody-that I'm aware-gets great cell service there. The owners are very nit picky and will not hesitate to tell you if you're doing something they don't like, reasonable or not. They don't have good lighting in the bathrooms at night, and they have passive aggressive signage about cleaning up after yourself (just common courtesy for regular people). I think their rates could be better, and there are better campgrounds, with better management with more activities closer to town that aren't run by pretentious control freaks who have obviously held a position of power for far too long.

Definitely great spot

Absolutely loved this place! I definitely suggest making a reservation our rv Neighboors let us know that they have to book a year in advance. We are traveling through Oregon just camping with two adult 2children and our dog. They were pet friendly and all of the staff were extremely nice! There are multiple spots right on the river which we were lucky enough to snag even though it was last minute.
